Disclaimer
NFL Showdown can be a fickle beast. Success in these contests doesn't come from blindly following median projections, but from creating leverage and building unique rosters. Fading the most popular plays can be risky, yet the biggest edges usually come from identifying the right low-rostered pivots and pairing them creatively with the slate's juggernauts.
With both DraftKings and FanDuel now using similar formats — a multiplier slot (Captain/MVP) that costs 1.5x salary and earns 1.5x points — the nuances between sites come down to scoring systems and contest dynamics. DraftKings' full PPR scoring and larger prize pools reward a slightly different decision-making process than FanDuel's half-PPR and softer fields, but the core principles of Showdown roster construction apply across both.
The advice in this article pertains predominantly to tournament lineups and strategy. For cash builds, median projections remain your best guide. For head-to-head contests, consider projections as well, but when two players have similar projections, side with the lower-rostered option.

Seattle Seahawks Showdown Players
Quarterback
Sam Darnold - Flex
Sam Darnold ranks just 21st in Passing Yards per Game (215) and 19th in Passing Touchdowns (8). This is not a great matchup on paper against a Bears defense that just acquired Jeffery Simmons and that ranks sixth best in EPA/Play Allowed and third best in Dropback EPA Allowed. Darnold is not a must-play by any means, but he is paired with the best receiver in football, Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Running Back/Wide Receiver/Tight End
Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Captain/Flex
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the best receiver in football. He leads the NFL in Target Share (33.2%), Receiving Yards per Game (123.9), Team Receiving Yard Share (50.2%), Team Air Yard Share (52.8%), Yards Per Route Run (4.05), and First Read Rate (43.1%). He also ranks fourth in Targets per Game (10.7), second in Targets per Route Run (0.35), and sixth in Endzone Targets (6). I can't possibly imagine building a lineup without him.
Zach Charbonnet - Flex
Zach Charbonnet will make his 2026 debut as he returns from a torn ACL injury. Charbonnet averaged 12.5 opportunities per game last season, ranking 21st in 15+ Yard Runs (8), seventh in Missed Tackles Forced per Attempt (0.20), fifth in Yards After Contact per Attempt (2.69), and eighth in Team Carries Inside the Five Yard Line (66.7%). Expect Charbonnet to immediately play a role in a committee backfield.
Emanuel Wilson - Flex
Jadarian Price is off the injury report and in consideration as well if the Seahawks activate him on Monday, but that is not a guarantee. Either way, don't expect Emanuel Wilson to just completely go away. He has received 20 or more carries in four of Seattle's past six games and just racked up 115 total yards and a touchdown last week.
Cooper Kupp - Flex
Rashid Shaheed is out due to injury, so Cooper Kupp's target projection gets a boost. Shaheed is second on the team in targets (30). Kupp already has a 71.6% Route Rate and ranks second on the team in receiving yards (199).
Kicker
Jason Myers - Flex
Jason Myers has missed just one kick this year and made all three of his 50+ yard attempts. The Seahawks are three-point home favorites.
