Welcome to another season of Dynasty IDP Sleepers! The purpose of this article is to highlight a handful of linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs that might be available in your dynasty leagues. I sample my own 12-, 14-, and 16-team leagues to get a cross-section of players who could be free agents in your leagues. Let's take a look at this week's suggestions!
Dynasty Sleeper Linebackers
Joe Bachie, Indianapolis
E.J. Speed moved on to Houston in the offseason, leaving a gaping hole at the highly productive weakside linebacker spot for the Colts. It initially seemed that Cameron McGrone would man the position, but after two weeks of games, it appears more likely that the veteran Joe Bachie will take the role. Bachie totaled seven tackles this past week against Denver and has a handful of decent matchups coming up. Given how well the WLB spot typically produces for this team, he's worth a speculative add.
Jamal Adams, Las Vegas
Adams is probably "addable" in larger formats right now. Germaine Pratt, Elandon Roberts, and Devin White have been the snap leaders at linebacker for the Raiders, but Adams finds his way to the field. He has linebacker eligibility in MyFantasyLeague, but some outlets show him as a safety (where he's spent the majority of his NFL career). If Jeremy Chinn were to go down with an injury, Adams' value would spike. Same thing if a guy like Pratt and White went out.
Cole Holcomb, Pittsburgh
Holcomb got 20% of the snaps this past week, after sitting out Week 1. Patrick Queen had left the game with a rib injury, and Holcomb got some run. If Queen (or heck, Payton Wilson) were to miss time, Holcomb would be a priority add. Those in larger leagues should add him as a stash.
