The injuries continue to pile up as we move deeper into the NFL season, testing both team depth charts and fantasy rosters alike. Several key players went down this week with new ailments, while others are still battling lingering issues that could impact their availability moving forward. Below is a breakdown of the most notable injuries from Sunday’s action and what they could mean for fantasy managers heading into Week 10. The "Previous Injuries" section below also highlights some players who should be available this week.
Key: Position Player, Team | Injury | Projected Return to Play
QB Jayden Daniels, Washington | Elbow | Likely Season-Ending
Late in a blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Jayden Daniels injured his left arm and did not return. By video, Daniels appeared to dislocate his elbow, but a fracture is still possible. On Monday, initial reports from Washington indicate that the Daniels' injury was not as severe as it initially appeared.
Despite the positive initial reports regarding fantasy football, I expect this injury to be season-ending or at least close to it. Roughly Week 15 could be a target return date, but by that point, Washington's season could be long over. Fantasy managers can hold Daniels if they have an open IR spot, but I'm skeptical he returns in 2025.
WR Cooper Kupp, Seattle | Hamstring | Projecting Week 11 Return
Cooper Kupp was a late addition to the Week 9 injury report with a hamstring issue. Late-week soft tissue injuries are rarely a good sign for player availability, and the Rams ultimately ruled Kupp out. There’s legitimate concern that this could extend beyond a one-week absence. Historically, NFL wide receivers average at least two weeks missed with hamstring strains—and as we’ve seen with Mike Evans this season, that timeline often stretches longer for veteran players.
Regarding Kupp's return date, a Week 10 return feels unlikely, with Week 11 still very much in question.
TE Tucker Kraft, Green Bay | Knee Injury | Season-Ending
After an early-season knee injury scare, Tucker Kraft suffered another setback on Sunday. While pulling to set a block, Kraft’s left knee buckled inward, an injury mechanism commonly associated with MCL sprains. However, following the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur suggested the injury was more serious than initially believed.

That’s usually code for season-ending. But there are surely more tests to come tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/FtikxXVtlq
There’s concern that Kraft may have sustained a season-ending ACL tear. Further testing on Monday should provide confirmation.
Update: Kraft's ACL tear has been confirmed. His 2025 season is over.
WR Puka Nacua, LA Rams | Chest | Projecting Week 10 Return
Puka Nacua exited in the third quarter of the Rams’ victory after landing directly on the football while running a jet sweep. He headed to the locker room, presumably for X-rays, but afterward, head coach Sean McVay told reporters that Nacua “could have come back into the game, but the Rams erred on the side of caution.”

McVay’s comments suggest that Nacua’s X-rays were negative for a fracture. I’m projecting Nacua to be available for Week 10, though his practice participation throughout the week will be key to confirming that.
