Injuries continue to shape the fantasy landscape as we move deeper into the season, and Week 13 delivered several new concerns for managers to navigate. A handful of key offensive contributors exited their games early, while others played through visible limitations that could affect their Week 14 outlook.
With the fantasy football playoffs right around the corner, these decisions become even more critical, as every lineup choice carries heightened consequences. Early practice reports, imaging results, and player history will all play major roles in projecting availability. This week's roundup breaks down the most important injuries, what we currently know, and what fantasy managers should expect heading into a pivotal stretch.
Key: Position Player, Team | Injury | Projected Return to Play
QB Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers | Left/Non-Throwing Hand | Projecting Week 15 Return
Justin Herbert suffered a fracture to his left ring finger during Sunday's win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He briefly exited the game and went to the Chargers' locker room for treatment before returning with a glove and what appeared to be two fingers taped together for stability. After the game, it was announced that Herbert will undergo surgery on the finger, likely to stabilize the fracture site.

There's a reasonable chance Herbert could still play in Week 14 despite the procedure. Because the injury is to his non-throwing hand, it won't directly impact his passing mechanics, though it could affect ball security. I currently project Herbert to miss one week, as post-surgical swelling or inflammation may limit him. That said, it wouldn't be surprising to see him push through and suit up next week.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit | Ankle | Projecting Week 15 Return
Amon-Ra St. Brown's Thanksgiving stat line was unusually empty, as the star wideout failed to score a single point. He suffered an ankle injury early in the game and did not return.
Initial testing revealed that St. Brown sustained an inversion (low) ankle sprain with "no structural damage." While that phrasing sounds comforting, a sprain still indicates ligament damage as the tissues were stretched beyond their threshold. Given St. Brown's toughness and history of playing through injuries, the fact that he didn't even attempt a return suggests this was more than a minor tweak. And although the Lions played on Thursday, Detroit hosts Dallas this coming Thursday, giving him exactly one week to recover.
St. Brown is one of the most durable and resilient receivers in the league, but even for him, a Week 14 return feels unlikely.
