Reasons WR Xavier Worthy Could Be a Sleeper
- Jason Wood: I project Worthy as the top fantasy option in KC this year, despite a crowded receiver room and the return of Rashee Rice (even before last week's news of his legal troubles). Worthy started his rookie season as a gimmick player but worked his way into a lead role by season's end. An additional offseason will only serve to cement his place in Mahomes' pecking order.
- Ben Cummins: He's an elite athlete who improved as his rookie season went on, culminating in an 8-reception 157-yard 2-touchdown Super Bowl performance.
- Meng Song: There have been multiple reports this offseason about a renewed emphasis on attacking downfield. Worthy should be the biggest beneficiary of this change.
- Matt Waldman: Worthy reminded me a lot of DeSean Jackson in style and enough in substance that his late-season surge is a sign of weekly starter value ahead.
- David Zacharias: His strong late-season performance provides upside momentum going into 2025.
