Jadarian Price is locked in as the lead running back at least until Zach Charbonnet returns from the PUP list.
Why It's Important: Head coach Mike Macdonald left open the possibility of Charbonnet being ready for Week 1 back in June, but he was much more vague when he recently said the team "didn't have any news" on Charbonnet. Price was impressive enough that the Seahawks treated him like an entrenched starter in the preseason, and the Seahawks backfield presents a big fantasy opportunity for Price to establish himself as the clear lead back and a fantasy RB1 while Charbonnet is out. We shouldn't expect Charbonnet to play before Week 5 or 6 at the earliest, and we'll know if he is ready to rejoin practice in Week 3. Price is worth a fifth-round pick on this news, and Charbonnet is not draftable unless you have an IR spot.

The Raiders coaching staff continues to speak highly of Mike Washington Jr.'s ability to carry the load if Jeanty misses time.
Why It's Important: Head coach Klint Kubiak clearly indicated that Washington had played himself into more snaps and touches with his sensational preseason:
"I think that they're both going to prepare to play a lot of football. As these games unfold, you react to the game. I think we've got two guys that we're really excited about...I'm not making any promises on percentages of play time."
Ashton Jeanty is questionable for Week 1, and his season-long ceiling is lower in light of the change in the situation in Kubiak's eyes. Jeanty is falling to the late second round in drafts, but it might not be far enough. If you want Washington, target him in the 10th round; he's worth it if you want to take a home run swing at running back in that range, contrasting with Chris Rodriguez Jr., who has a higher floor, but the player he is sharing with is not coming into the season injured.
