This week was a high scoring week with not much separation at the top of the leaderboard. It was joshua9028 who took home the top prize of $1,000,000 with a score of 206.54. Looking further into joshua9028's account he joined back in October of 2014 but only had 8 total NFL wins to his name before this massive victory. With such a large field tournament it goes to show you that you don't have to be a DFS veteran to be able to compete in the large GPP tournaments.
Joshua9028 had a well rounded team overall that was lead by an Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr QB/WR stack. It also was a team that only had two players to score under 20 points and that was James Jones at 14.7 and Matt Bryant at 8.0 points. You always want to find a good mix of lower owned players who will hit it big with a variety of other ownership players who will help you set a decent floor right out of the gate. Doug Martin was the player that was the low ownership gem of the week coming in at a 3.6% ownership rate at a modest $6,400 price and scoring the most points out of any player on the site with 35.3 for the week.
Devonta Freeman was his RB2 and he continued his hot streak with another massive game scoring 29.2 FanDuel points and being owned by 26.9% of the field. Joshua9028's WR core was all highly owned with Beckham Jr at 17.6% and Julian Edelman at 30.6% and James Jones the lesser of the three at 12.3%. The trio scored 56.6 FanDuel points and all were priced at three different levels (Beckham $9,000, Edelman $7,700, and Jones $6,400). At TE it was a value play with Antonio Gates at $5,500 coming off a 4 game suspension and giving him the MNF hammer as he scored 25.7 FanDuel points.
Rounding out the nine man team it was Matt Bryant at kicker who scored a modest 8 points and the Denver Broncos defense who had a fantastic day against the Oakland Raiders and scored 22 points. Overall it was a well balanced team and really no off the wall plays with only Doug Martin as the play that came in at a low percentage owned at 3.6%.

$60,000 | 206.54 |
Going through the top 10 teams in Week 5 of the Sunday Million it was Eli Manning who was the QB that you wanted to have rostered as he was priced under $8,000 and was on 7 of the top 10 teams. Six out of seven of those teams that had Eli Manning also paired him with Odell Beckham Jr. showing once again how important a QB/WR stack can be in taking down one of these large GPPs. The three other QBs that would used were Tom Brady, Blake Bortles and Tyrod Taylor.
At RB it was pretty cut and dry that you wanted Doug Martin, Devonta Freeman or Justin Forsett on your team as those were the only 3 running backs to be rostered on any of the top 10 Sunday Million teams. Doug Martin was on all but one of the 10 teams and Devonta Freeman was on 7 out of the 10 teams leaving Justin Forsett on the other 4 teams.
At WR it was the Odell Beckham Jr and Julian Edelman show as Beckham was on 7 of the top 10 teams and Edelman was also on 7. Larry Fitzgerald continued his fine season and was on 3 teams as well as Jeremy Maclin. James Jones, Emmanuel Sanders and Allen Robinson were each on 2 teams and Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Allen Hurns and Tavon Austin each were on a single entry. At the TE position it was Antonio Gate on 8 teams and Tyler Eifert on 2 teams. Stephen Gostkowski was the favorite kicker as he was on 6 teams and the Broncos defense was the chalk at defense being on 6 teams also.
