Buy Low

Tua Tagovailoa (QB-MIA) - It’s brutal out there at quarterback. Tagovailoa wasn’t a difference-maker in his first start back against the Steelers, but things should come a lot easier to him against the Lions this week and against the Browns in Week 10. Containing Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is still challenging. Raheem Mostert is activating the running game, and Mike Gesicki is being used more as a threat in the middle of the field. This offense should still be in the top half of the league going forward and maybe in the top quarter.

Cordarrelle Patterson (RB-ATL) - Well, the recommendation to buy Elijah Mitchell off of injured reserve blew up quickly. We did get seemingly good news with Patterson, posting rehab videos, and Arthur Smith was positive when he updated us about Patterson this week, saying “I imagine he’s pretty close.” Patterson was off to the kind of start that ends among the league’s top rushers, and his team is religiously committed to the run.

Khalil Shakir (WR-BUF), Devin Singletary (RB-BUF), Dawson Knox (TE-BUF) - Shakir is really good, and Isaiah McKenzie seems to hurt the team as much as he helps it when his number is called. The bye week is when teams make adjustments, like giving a rookie more playing time, and Shakir can show progress in understanding his roles in the week off and convince the team he’s ready. Singletary has been great when called upon and should have a larger role as the weather gets colder. Knox hasn’t been healthy but should be better after the bye and has a TE1 track record with Allen now. Having any competent or better player attached to this offense is a good thing.
