We are almost halfway through the fantasy football regular season in most leagues, and just as some teams and situations are solidifying, others are becoming more unstable. As teams, players, and situations remain in flux, so do our fantasy rosters. As above, so below.
Here's a look at the big names you should be looking for this week:
Kyler Murray (QB-MIN)
Bid Recommendation: 15-30% of Annual FAAB Budget
If Murray was dropped in a bye-week roster crunch, he would be worth a decent-sized bid, especially if you don't like what you have at quarterback right now. He looked to be in tune with the Kevin O'Connell offense before the bye and added value as a scrambler, in addition to throwing a dime in the corner of the end zone for a Justin Jefferson touchdown. He'll likely get Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and Jordan Mason back against a Colts team that just played so bad that they got their general manager fired. Murray's best football and fantasy production is ahead of him this season as long as he stays healthy.
Jaylin Noel (WR-HOU)
Bid Recommendation: 12-25% of Annual FAAB Budget
Noel got four targets in Week 6 against a decent Jaguars defense and turned them into four catches for 107 yards and a score. He has made the most of his targets this season, and over the last three weeks he has turned 12 targets into 12 catches for 233 yards and two scores. Marvin Harrison Jr.'s arrival appears to be opening up the field for Noel even further, so it may not take an increased opportunity for Noel to be worth a weekly flex play in this pass-first offense.
Ja'Kobi Lane (WR-BAL)
Bid Recommendation: 10-20% of Annual FAAB Budget
Lane returned from a broken bone in his wrist, and Rashod Bateman went down with a shoulder injury, which should make Lane the #2 target for Lamar Jackson or Tyler Huntley in Week 7 against Cincinnati. Lane made an impact right away in Week 1 and had a touchdown wiped off the board before leaving the game. There were signs that this pass offense was vastly improved under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, and Lane's ability to earn a role in it right away is a great sign for him. He could level off as a boom/bust WR3/Flex once Jackson is back. Trade rumors about Bateman increase Lane's speculative rest-of-season upside.
Jonah Coleman (RB-DEN)
Bid Recommendation: 10-20% of Annual FAAB Budget
Coleman is purely a speculative pickup, but there's no denying that he was much more promising as a runner than J.K. Dobbins or RJ Harvey have been this season in his short stint before going on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He might require some patience, but unless Dobbins or Harvey pick it up, Coleman's opportunities will grow, and the Broncos' second-half schedule gets easier.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB-NYG)
Bid Recommendation: 10-20% of Annual FAAB Budget
Tracy was on the field as the red-zone back early on, scoring with a nice run after the catch, and he later scored a rushing touchdown when the team was in comeback mode with J.J. McCarthy. It's hard to predict what this backfield split will be week-to-week, but Tracy had a better fantasy game than any Cam Skattebo performance so far, and Skattebo was the clear back for the first five games. The Giants backfield may give us no reliable weekly start, but if there is going to be one, it will probably be Tracy. He's worth a speculative bench pickup and a semi-aggressive bid if you are hard up at running back.
