Week 10 Offensive Sleepers

Sigmund Bloom's Week 10 Offensive Sleepers Sigmund Bloom Published 11/09/2023

Quarterback

Will Levis, Tennessee (at Tampa Bay)

Levis will take aim at a Bucs defense that just gave up the biggest rookie passing game in NFL history. Their stout run defense could nullify Derrick Henry and force the Titans to rely on Levis to move the ball. That is probably a good plan for success as only Derek Carr and Desmond Ridder failed to account for two scores against them this season. Ridder ran for 38 yards and a score and completed 19 of 25 passes for 250 yards, so he was still a good play against them.

Russell Wilson, Denver (at Buffalo)

Wilson could be one of the best bye-quarterback plays this week if the Bills are able to open up an early lead and put the offense on his shoulders. The Bills have a lot of injuries in the secondary and at linebacker. They have allowed two passing scores and at least 237 passing yards in each of the last three games, including matchups against Baker Mayfield and Mac Jones. Wilson could also get a boost from a hopefully more involved Marvin Mims Jr. in the deep passing game.

Joshua Dobbs, Minnesota (vs New Orleans)

Dobbs has been one of the most productive quarterbacks as a runner, which gives him a chance to come through as a bye-week coverage play even though the Saints defense is a tough draw. Five quarterbacks have at least 30 rushing yards against them this season, including Jordan Love, Baker Mayfield, and Bryce Young. Trevor Lawrence ran for 59 yards when he was nursing a knee injury, and Tyson Bagent ran for 70 yards against them just last week.

Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay (vs Tennessee)

Mayfield is the safest bye-week coverage quarterback who might be available on the waiver wire. The only quarterbacks that didn't throw a touchdown against them were a gimpy Joe Burrow and the Colts combination when Anthony Richardson went down for the season during the game. Mayfield has thrown for two scores and at least 237 yards in each of the last two games, including a game last week when the team actually had more rush attempts than pass attempts.
