The 2025 campaign is now in full swing. We will focus on waivers and trades until later in the season, when we will transition to players to stash, buy, and sell for the offseason. In today's "Dynasty News," we will examine some of the week's larger happenings from a dynasty perspective.
Dynasty News: QB Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray has not played well this season. He is not seeing the field or running with the football as well as he did earlier in his career. Late last week, Murray hurt his foot, causing him to miss Sunday's game at Indianapolis. Backup Jacoby Brissett played well in the game, leading the Cardinals to 27 points on the road. The team had only topped 21 points in a game once during the first five games of the season, and it was against the Panthers. Brissett did this against a solid Colts defense. Ian Rapoport gave context for the injury:
Kyler Murray's injury, a mid-foot sprain, is a version of a Lisfranc injury, source said. There is a possibility Murray is out more than this week, as pushing it can cause an aggravation. https://t.co/VxFq1n4RUm

Dr. Jeff Mueller offered a medical explanation of Rapoport's tweet:
Medical terminology often gets confused during the game telephone.

A true Lisfranc injury involves fracture or dislocation within the midfoot. It's a matter of weeks or months.
A midfoot sprain might only cost Kyler Murray one week, or 2-3 weeks.
Depends on sprain severity. https://t.co/PNUILDxQwg
When asked if Murray could relinquish the starting job to Brissett, Benjamin Albright replied:
Kyler will be the QB when healthy per source. https://t.co/m3iNMFcG0c

Arizona plays Green Bay at home before its Week 8 bye. We expect Murray to return in Week 9 against Dallas on the road.
Dynasty News: QB Anthony Richardson Sr., Indianapolis Colts
The tumultuous career of Anthony Richardson Sr. will be talked about for years to come. The strong play of Daniel Jones has allowed Richardson to take a step back and learn from another veteran. Richardson was injured before Sunday's game:
#Colts QB Anthony Richardson Sr., the third QB today, was injured in warmups today, source said. So, not a healthy scratch. pic.twitter.com/WSwNKyqDTC

Richardson broke an orbital bone around his eye and could miss extended action.
#Colts HC Shane Steichen says QB Anthony Richardson Sr.. suffered an orbital fracture while doing pregame band work. He was taken to the hospital. No recovery timeline right now.

Rookie Riley Leonard is QB2 “right now,” Steichen says.
Dr. David Chao helped explain the context a little more. The Colts announced Monday that Richardson was placed on injured reserve.

We expect Indianapolis to bring in a veteran to back up Jones until Richardson returns. For those of you in deep SuperFlex dynasty leagues, keep an eye on who the Colts sign. They may be worth a roster spot.
Dynasty News: RB Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay offense has adapted well to the loss of running back Bucky Irving but needs him back for the stretch run. Last week, beat reporter Rick Stroud wrote: "In addition to running back Bucky Irving, who could miss 1-2 more weeks with foot/shoulder injuries, cornerback Zyon McCollum is out with a thumb injury suffered two weeks ago against Philadelphia." We could see Irving back at practice as early as next week.
Dynasty News: RB Joe Mixon, Houston Texans
