NFL teams have recently shifted their focus to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, which has changed how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play a near every-down role, players are deployed as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This opened the door for more potential IDP streaming options.
Being able to stream positions is key to winning leagues. It is impossible to nail down every roster position with studs. You always walk away with one of your position groups feeling thin. This weekly article will cover IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and Edge positions to help you win your leagues.
The IDP streaming options we dropped in the Week 7 article absolutely smashed! Moro Ojomo had two tackles, one for a loss, and a sack. A'Shawn Robinson had four tackles, one for a loss, and a sack. Charles Omenihu and DJ Wonnum flopped, but our two sleepers hit. Alex Wright ended with five tackles, with one for a loss. Jalyx Hunt finished with only one tackle, but oddly enough, recorded an interception returned for a touchdown. Here are the top IDP streaming options for Week 8.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL B.J. Hill, Cincinnati Bengals
Matchup: New York Jets - Ranked 24th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Hill has been a high-floor interior defensive lineman with a ceiling that excels in good matchups. He has never been an elite pass rusher, but he can have explosive games when faced with poor offensive lines. Hill is averaging just under four tackles per game this season (solid floor), but had just one sack back in Week 1, when he exploded for seven tackles, a sack, and five pressures.
Hill could not have a better matchup than he does in Week 8 against the Jets. The Jets have allowed the most sacks in the NFL with 31 in the first seven games. Their run blocking has been underwhelming as well. Breece Hall, a running back with elite traits, has had trouble getting anything going. Hill has a terrific opportunity for a blowup game and is an excellent IDP streaming option for Week 8.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Dexter Lawrence II, New York Giants
Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles - Ranked 1st in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Lawrence has been an absolute disappointment this year. After he blew in 2024 with 45 tackles and nine sacks in just 12 games, his 2025 has been a snail's crawl back to form. Fortunately, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Lawrence has finally shown some of that pass-rushing prowess over the last two games. Per PFF, Lawrence has seven pressures over his last two games.

The Giants take on their division rival, the Philadelphia Eagles, in Week 8. Though the Eagles have a terrific offensive line, they are still susceptible to allowing sacks at a high volume. Their 21 sacks allowed have them tied for the sixth most in the NFL. The Giants seem to be rolling as a team, and Lawrence has looked better recently. Expect him to cause a ruckus on the interior, and he is a terrific IDP streaming option for Week 8.
IDP Streaming Option: Edge Joseph Ossai, Cincinnati Bengals
