NFL teams have recently shifted their focus to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, altering how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play a near every-down role, players are deployed as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This opened the door for more potential IDP streaming options.
Being able to stream positions is key to winning leagues. It is impossible to nail down every roster position with studs. You always walk away with one of your position groups feeling thin. This weekly article will cover IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and Edge positions to help you win your leagues.
We hit on our IDP steaming edge defenders last week, with Chop Robinson coming away with a sack, Nolan Smith Jr. compiling six total tackles, and our sleeper, Jacob Martin, had four total tackles of his own. The IDL side was a different story, where Moro Ojomo and Braden Fiske were non-existent in the stat sheets. Here are the top IDP streaming defensive linemen for Week 15.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Tommy Togiai, Houston Texans
Matchup: Arizona Cardinals - Ranked 20th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Togia had a slow start to the season, but has grown his role over the last three games. He has not seen fewer than 29 snaps over that span. For reference, he eclipsed 27 snaps in just one of his first seven games. Togiai had three tackles, half of a sack, and a pass defended in Week 1 against the Titans. In his three games following that impressive performance, Togiai has racked up 19 tackles and a sack.
Feels like pretty good company here for Tommy Togiai (smaller sample size I am aware)

He is getting pressure at a 18.75% clip on his 32 pass rushes in TPS while being a plus run defender.

The Cardinals' offensive line has been atrocious in their run blocking. Our own Matt Bitonti has them ranked 28th in that category. They have also allowed 45 sacks, which is the sixth-most in the NFL. Togiai is part of a remarkable defensive unit in Houston and is a terrific IDP streaming option for Week 15.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Byron Young, Philadelphia Eagles
Matchup: Las Vegas Raiders - Ranked 29th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Young was used sparingly for the Eagles, though that's not surprising given they are littered with talent, including Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Moro Ojomo. Unfortunately, Carter has been sent to IR. Young has now become a relevant force as the big man in the middle for the Eagles and has made his presence felt. Last week, against the Chargers, Young exploded for eight tackles, one-and-a-half sacks, and a fumble recovery.
Now I know that the Chargers' offensive line looks like Swiss cheese in their current state, but the Raiders' offensive line may be worse. They have allowed the league-most 50 sacks on the season. Many other factors make Young an excellent IDP streaming option. Kenny Pickett is starting. Ashton Jeanty will be fed, yet stifled again due to a lack of support. Young should perform well for the second straight week as a terrific IDP streaming option.
IDP Streamin Option: Clelin Ferrell, San Francisco 49ers
