Sleepers at Quarterback
Tyrod Taylor, NY Jets (vs Miami)
Taylor has been a QB1-level play in two of his three starts, and he wasn't a bust in the third. He's a relatively safe start for a sleeper, but also has a high ceiling. He has at least 40 rushing yards in two of his three starts and scored on the ground last week. Adonai Mitchell broke out last week with a long score and reliable hands on short-range passes, Breece Hall can create explosive plays on receptions, and John Metchie III has been a contributor, so this passing game should be viable without Garrett Wilson. Justin Fields threw for 226 yards against the Dolphins earlier this season. Taylor is a viable streamer and rock-solid QB2/Superflex.
Tyler Shough, New Orleans (at Tampa Bay)
Shough has been a QB1-level play in two of his last three starts, and he has completed at least 26 passes in each of the last two. The pass funnel Bucs defense has allowed 29 and 25 completions in the last two games, and one of those games was over at halftime. Shough replaced Spencer Rattler in the first matchup between these two teams, when the Saints completed 32 of 51 pass attempts. Shough should get plenty of chances to help as a QB2/Superflex or streaming QB1 if you're in a pinch.
J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota (vs Washington)
Don't laugh. The Commanders have been a very generous pass defense all season, and this is the first "easy mode" matchup McCarthy has faced. He still has a great group of targets, and McCarthy should be more relaxed now that everyone saw Max Brosmer play considerably worse than him. The Vikings' season is basically over, but McCarthy could find himself like Bryce Young did last year.
