Welcome to the Dynasty Trading Post, where we examine optimizing strategy, roster construction, format, and player value oscillations every week with real-world completed dynasty trades.
This week, we will look at opportunities in the marketplace with recent wide receiver injuries.
All trades are Superflex unless stated otherwise.
WR Justin Jefferson, Vikings
Jefferson's ankle injury in Week 3 caused him to miss Week 4 and has left an ambiguous timeline for his return. Kyler Murray has generally been a limiting factor to the Vikings' passing game. Jefferson's electric Week 1 (8-92-2 stat line) has withered with three down games in a row, and now an ankle injury threatens his near-term availability. Jefferson still sits firmly in the top 10 wide receivers in the dynasty trade market, but at 27, current production matters more than a younger option. Jefferson is the same age as similarly valued CeeDee Lamb and more expensive than Nico Collins. Both are outproducing with more stable situations than Jefferson.
Instructive Dynasty Trades
- Jefferson, DeVonta Smith for 27 1st, 27 2nd, 28 1st, 28 1st
- Jefferson for Jordyn Tyson, 27 1st
- Jefferson, Bucky Irving for Jeremiyah Love, 27 1st
- Jefferson for Ladd McConkey, Antonio Williams, 27 1st
- Jefferson for George Pickens, 28 1st, 27 2nd, 27 2nd
An arbitrage from Jefferson to either a younger or more stable profile and a future 1st is an ideal package. Especially as a team that is 1-3 or 0-4, Jefferson can aid a contending team in 2027 and beyond, but few players (or wide receivers in general) are worth multiple 1sts in the trade market, which all of these trades outline.
WR Rashee Rice, Chiefs
