Week 15 Offensive Sleepers

Sigmund Bloom's Week 15 Offensive Sleepers Sigmund Bloom Published 12/15/2022

Quarterback

Matt Ryan, Indianapolis (vs Minnesota) **Saturday**

Will Jeff Saturday’s Colts trust this game in the hands of Jonathan Taylor or Matt Ryan? Taylor makes more sense from a ball security standpoint, but the Vikings pass defense has been feeble in recent weeks. Plus, the Colts have had two weeks to prepare for this game. Ryan is a boom/bust play, but Minnesota has given up good fantasy games to Mike White and Mac Jones in recent weeks.

Taylor Heinicke, Washington (vs NY Giants)

Heinicke is facing the same Giants defense that allowed one of his best games as a passer in his career just two weeks ago. The Giants also had to go through the Eagles meat grinder last week, while the Commanders got some R&R&R (rest and relaxation and research time) on bye. Heinicke has his full complement of receivers healthy and ready to attack the Giants' suspect secondary, and he can also add some value as a scrambler.

Desmond Ridder, Atlanta (at New Orleans)

Ridder has the tough job of going into the Superdome in the middle of one of the more vicious rivalries in the NFL, but he’ll have the element of surprise and the x-factor of being able to run the ball on his side. The Saints could make life miserable for the entire Falcons offense, but they could also be on their heels if the Falcons offense is crisper with Ridder and uses his running ability to put them in conflict and capitalize on their aggressive nature.

Daniel Jones, NY Giants (at Washington)

The Giants offense is going to fall on Jones' shoulders this week, and for fantasy, at least, he should be up to the task. He posted 71 rushing yards, 200 passing yards, and a passing score in the game two weeks ago vs. Washington, and he accounted for two scores in the blowout loss to the Eagles last week. Jones' breakaway ability as a runner and the sheer number of plays he’ll either pass or run gives him more upside than the rest of the streamer pack this week.
