Cash Games

Quarterbacks

Rank Player Opponent Salary
1 Josh Allen vs Eagles $7,000
2 Joe Burrow vs Cardinals $6,500
3 Trevor Lawrence at Colts $6,100
4 Jacoby Brissett at Bengals $5,700
5 Tyler Shough at Titans $5,200
6 Geno Smith vs Giants $4,400

This Eagles at Bills matchup only has the fourth-highest Implied Team Total (44.5) of the main slate, but Vegas doesn't always get things right, and this could be a blind spot for them with scenarios in play where this contest shoots out. Josh Allen is the home quarterback, and he leads the quarterback position in DraftKings points per game (24.2), rushing yards (552), and rushing touchdowns (12). Like most weeks, Allen is in play in all formats.

Joe Burrow has returned to action from his turf toe injury for four games now. Over that span, he's averaging 269.8 passing yards (Would rank third over the full season) and 2.5 pass touchdowns (Would rank second over the full season). The Bengals have the highest Implied Team Total (30.3) of the entire week, and Burrow gets to play at home against a bad Cardinals defense that ranks just 26th in EPA/Play Allowed and 22nd in Dropback EPA Allowed. Burrow is a fantastic play in both cash and tournaments.

Trevor Lawrence ranks sixth in pass touchdowns per game (1.7), third at the quarterback position in rushing touchdowns (7), and seventh at the quarterback position in DraftKings points per game (20.6). Over his past two games, Lawrence has thrown for 609 yards and 8 touchdowns while adding in 71 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. He's on an absolute heater and now gets to attack a banged-up Colts defense that will be without their starting cornerback, Charvarius Ward, due to injury. Brock Purdy just shredded this same defense for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns through the air last week. Lawrence is excellent in both cash and GPPs.

Jacoby Brissett's heater cooled down last week in a 19-26 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, in which he only threw for 203 yards and 1 touchdown. The ill-informed will give in to recency bias and believe this is the new normal, mostly because they were never on board in the first place. Do not be that person. Brissett has played incredibly this season. In his ten starts, he's averaged 291.1 passing yards (Would lead the NFL over the full season), 1.9 pass touchdowns (Would rank fifth over the full season), and fifth at the quarterback position in DraftKings points per game (21.7). Brissett is a leverage play in all formats in the best fantasy game of the week against a struggling Bengals defense that ranks just 30th in EPA/Play Allowed and 29th in Dropback EPA Allowed.

New Orleans' running backs have been decimated by injuries, causing the offense to shift toward the shoulders of Tyler Shough. He threw the ball 49 times last week and has thrown for 580 yards over the past two games. Shough is a salary-saver option in cash in a favorable matchup against a Titans defense that ranks 27th in EPA/Play Allowed and 28th in Dropback EPA Allowed.

Geno Smith is your true salary saver in cash priced at just $4,400. Unfortunately, Smith won't have Brock Bowers to throw to this week as he's been put on season-ending Injured Reserve, but he's still extremely affordable in an awesome matchup. Smith is playing at home against a Giants defense that ranks just 28th in EPA/Play Allowed and 20th in Dropback EPA Allowed.

Running Backs

Rank Player Opponent Salary
1 Ashton Jeanty vs Giants $6,100
2 James Cook vs Eagles $8,000
3 Saquon Barkley at Bills $7,600
4 Travis Etienne Jr. at Colts $7,100
5 Michael Carter at Bengals $5,200
6 Tony Pollard vs Saints $5,500

The Raiders are 1.5-point home favorites, and Ashton Jeanty gets to attack a putrid Giants defense that ranks just 28th in EPA/Play Allowed and dead last in Rush EPA Allowed. Jeanty ranks 10th in the NFL in opportunities per game (19.3) and is coming off a scintillating performance in which he turned 26 opportunities into 188 total yards and 2 touchdowns. Priced at just $6,100, Jeanty is a cash game lock and very strong tournament play as well.

The Bills are 2.5-point home favorites, and James Cook ranks fourth in opportunities per game (21.5), fourth in total yards per game (121.3), and fourth in total touchdowns (14). Cook is an incredible running back who ranks third in Missed Tackles Forced (58) and second in 10+ yard runs (36). Buffalo projects to lean on Cook once again in this one, especially with Josh Allen potentially operating at less than 100% due to a foot injury he suffered last week, in a matchup against an Eagles defense that has been more vulnerable against the run as of late. Cook is a great play in both cash and GPPs.

The Eagles' offense has struggled to get the running game going consistently this season, but this matchup against a Bills defense that ranks just 31st in Rush EPA Allowed could be the exact recipe they need to dominate. Saquon Barkley is plenty talented to succeed in this advantageous spot. He ranks fifth in opportunities per game (20.7) and 14th in total yards per game (89.7). Barkley makes sense in builds no matter the format.

Travis Etienne Jr. ranks 13th in opportunities per game (18.5) and seventh in total touchdowns (13). He's scored four touchdowns over the past two games and just saw 21 opportunities last week. The Jaguars are 6.5-point favorites. Etienne is talented and riding a heater as Jacksonville's entire offense soars, putting him in play in all formats.

Without Bam Knight last week, Michael Carter played on 53% of the offensive snaps and saw 13 opportunities. That's not a typical cash game recommendation workload, but priced at just $5,200, Carter is a salary saver option in the best fantasy game of the week against a bad Bengals defense that ranks just 30th in EPA/Play Allowed and 29th in Rush EPA Allowed.

Who is this Tony Pollard, and where was he all season!? Over his last three games, Pollard has averaged 20.7 opportunities (Would rank fifth over the full season) and 125 total yards (Would rank third over the full season). He's also scored three touchdowns over that span. Pollard is priced affordably at just $5,500, putting him firmly in salary saver in cash territory at home against the Saints.
