Sunday Morning Update #2 12:15 PM EST
Nico Collins was a surprise scratch. I don't think this is a big enough deal to elevate Jayden Higgins to a must play at $5,700, as I still prefer Burden, but he's interesting. Jaylin Noel is also intriguing at $5k, but we could just see a run-heavy offense from the Texans this week.
Sunday Morning Update: 9:30 AM EST
Be careful this week. Don't overexpose your bankroll simply because it is the last week. It seems like most people have ended up around the same area with the players with a * expected to all be popular. This isn't different than most weeks where there are 5-6 players who are extremely highly rostered, but don't go crazy because it is the last week by playing more than you normally do, just play a consistent level or even somewhat smaller as motivation this time of year is a big factor.
Now, with that said, I love Luther Burden III today, and don't think he's getting enough excitement around the industry. Some people are still gravitating towards Jakobi Meyers likely because of the Trevor Lawrence stack, which I would take that 1:1 matchup all day long this week.
One thing you could see from other people this week is fading the Rams just because of the uncertainty of how long they'll play their starters. Sean McVay has come out openly and said they're playing their starters, and with Davante Adams out, I still expect a big game from Puka Nacua.
No change to the Primary Cash Lineup
- QB Trevor Lawrence, JAX, $8,200*
- RB Jaydon Blue, DAL, $4,500*
- RB Bijan Robinson, ATL, 9,600*
- WR Michael Wilson, ARI, $7,300*
- WR Luther Burden III, CHI, $6,100
- WR Puka Nacua, LAR, $9,900*
- TE Juwan Johnson, NO, $5,300*
- Flex RB Tank Bigsby, PHI, $5,600
- TD Minnesota, $3,500*
Health Update:
First and foremost, I sincerely apologize for the brevity of last week’s article. I did everything I could to try to write one, and things just continued to get worse.
I wanted to provide everyone with just a little bit of an update, as I feel I owe that to you all given the community that we’ve built around this article.
I went to the ER on Friday Night 12/26, and was sent home thinking it was just a persistent multiple-day migraine. On Monday, we went to a neurologist, at which point he sent me straight back to the ER. I was in the ER from Monday Night until Thursday due to Shingles that had penetrated into my eye/optic nerve which is extremely rare, and typically only found in elderly patients.
At the moment, I am slowly starting to feel better, but still have a risk of permanent vision loss in one eye, but it’s going to be a journey over the next three weeks of 3x per day treatment with an at-home visit from a nurse.
All things considering, I’m doing about as well as I can.
Now, let’s get to football.
Injuries Create Opportunity:
This week is a mess. We’re going to start with just a simple Green/Yellow/Red chart.
Green means fully good to go that the team is playing their normal starters for the full game.
Yellow means proceed with caution. These are scenarios you need to be cautious of. They could be teams that pull their starters early.
Red are normally just stay away outside of maybe one player on the team. They’re teams resting players, or starting backup quarterbacks.
