QB Joe Flacco, Cincinnati

Theme of the Week: A Second Opportunity

The dynasty trade market for Joe Flacco was on life support with hardly a pulse after being benched in Cleveland for Dillon Gabriel and posting zero touchdowns versus three interceptions over his final two starts in Cleveland. A second life presented itself with Flacco's trade to Cincinnati. The Week 6 result was promising with his first multi-touchdown game of the season despite a tall order, at Green Bay, after joining the team days earlier, in the matchup. Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins mark the best duo of weapons Joe Flacco has ever had, with Noah Fant a quality option as well. As a result, Flacco offers value for Superflex teams light at quarterback to rent for potentially the rest of the season, plus rebuilding teams with a renewed window to sell Flacco.

Here are a few key trades involving Joe Flacco this week:

Joe Flacco is regularly available for a future 3rd. This is a boon for a contending team light at quarterback. Flacco's window to start is the rest of the season - with strong weapons and likely negative or high-scoring game scripts. Flacco (and Spencer Rattler) mark the cheapest starting quarterback acquisitions in dynasty with rest-of-season starting potential and reasonable upside for fantasy. On the selling side, Flacco offers little reason to hold for non-contending teams, so he is a must sell as soon as possible. It is difficult not to take a 3rd as a team at 2-4 (trending down) or 1-5 or worse in the standings this week.

RB Kimani Vidal, LA Chargers
