QB to Acquire: Dak Prescott, Cowboys
The market is higher on Dak Prescott than a year ago, but the 33-year-old is still considered old in dynasty circles and, as such, carries a stark discount on his production projection. George Pickens returning forms a strong quartet around Prescott with CeeDee Lamb, Javonte Williams (also returning), and Jake Ferguson. Compare his QB14 dynasty market price to his QB9 redraft ADP, and the outlook is positive for dynasty contenders. Also, most betting sites have Dak Prescott second to fourth in most passing yards for the season.

Pivoting at quarterback is optimal, as most Superflex quarterback acquisitions require giving up a quarterback in return. Jaxson Dart is an optimal shift to Prescott where a quality 'plus' can be added. In this case, multiple Round 1 picks to shed the risk of Dart and Rice. With Goff and Darnold, shifting to Prescott is all about upside. In the final deal, Prescott was acquired for a 27 1st. If light at QB2, this is a boon as there is so much hype surrounding the 2027 draft class.
QB to Acquire: Brock Purdy, 49ers
Since becoming the 49ers' starting quarterback, Purdy has been a top-10 fantasy quarterback, with moments of being QB1 overall. Like Prescott, the market is plainly too low on Purdy, now with contract allegiance and connected to Kyle Shanahan for the foreseeable future. Purdy has underrated rushing production, and his weapons have improved with Mike Evans added and De'Zhaun Stribling drafted atop the second round. Ricky Pearsall's knee injury reporting is ominous, but the team swiftly added Deebo Samuel Sr. in free agency in late July to boost the depth chart. Also, there is optimism with George Kittle's recovery and early-season availability.

The same premise mentioned with Dak Prescott also applies to Brock Purdy in trade strategy. Approach Purdy from below to secure profile insulation (Shough), or add significant future capital, like a 27 1st, when dealing away from the non-elite quarterbacks with risk (Burrow, Hurts as examples). The McConkey trade is a rare example of acquiring a quarterback to solve problems and insulate your own dynasty depth chart without giving one up. Even if strong at QB1/2, options like Prescott and Purdy can insulate a dynasty contender to absorb an injury, a surprisingly poor season from your stalwarts, or merely play the matchups at the most position in Superflex leagues.
