Welcome to the Dynasty Trading Post, where we examine optimizing strategy, roster construction, format, and player value oscillations every week, providing examples and completed dynasty trades.

This week, we'll focus on selling Xavier Worthy and buying Jaylen Warren.

*All trades are Superflex unless stated otherwise*

WR Xavier Worthy, Kansas City

Theme of the Week: The King is Back

Rashee Rice returned from his six-game suspension and immediately regained his throne atop the Chiefs' passing game. Rice had double the targets of any other Kansas City player and six more than Worthy in Rice's first game back. The feel of the offense was Rice is the engine, and everyone else will have their moments or select weeks of more involvement, but good luck predicting which weeks.

The other point of concern is that Xavier Worthy's shoulder injury is not behind him. This will be managed throughout the entire season, and any significant setback will require surgery, ending Worthy's season. Just because he has returned to play does not mean Worthy is without risk. Worthy had two separate bouts of frustration on the sideline during Week 7 against Las Vegas, where he was in clear pain and discomfort. Worthy is a sell recommendation based on the projection of not making a substantial difference the rest of the season and the risk of being injured and being out at any point with an existing shoulder injury.

Here are a few key trades involving Xavier Worthy this week:

Acquiring at least a future 1st for Xavier Worthy insulates a dynasty team's flexibility to make a secondary move in future weeks as a contender. Leveling up at quarterback with example trades for Brock Purdy, Baker Mayfield, and Joe Burrow are insulation and consolidation moves in Superflex, even if already rostering multiple quality quarterbacks. As an ancillary point, if Worthy ends up on season-ending IR, he will be a buy recommendation and featured in this article series later in the season for less than a future first-round draft pick.

RB Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh
