NFL teams have recently shifted their focus to a committee approach to defensive line deployment, which has changed how IDP managers draft. Instead of having defensive linemen on each team play a near every-down role, players are deployed as pass-rush/run-down specialists. This opened the door for more potential IDP streaming options.
Being able to stream positions is key to winning leagues. It is impossible to nail down every roster position with studs. You always walk away with one of your position groups feeling thin. This weekly article will cover IDP streaming matchups for the IDL and Edge positions to help you win your leagues.
Last week, we hit on Tuli Tuipulotu, Byron Murphy II, and Rashan Gary. Braden Fiske was a miss, only because he played 13 snaps, picking up an injury in warmups. Our sleepers played well. Ruke Orhorhoro picked up half of a sack, and Jaelan Phillips had four tackles, though zero solos. Let's check out the top IDP streaming options on the defensive line for Week 3.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Jonah Laulu, Las Vegas Raiders
Matchup: Washington Commanders - Ranked 17th in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Laulu has been the Raiders Captain Marvel on defense, an unstoppable force who came out of nowhere to battle Thanos. I know, I am a nerd. The second-year, former 7th-round pick, has been phenomenal for the Raiders. He has racked up six tackles and three sacks over the season's first two games.

Laulu was a quiet, though effective, contributor as a rookie, compiling 35 tackles, though he has already tripled his sack total from 2024. Considering the oddities surrounding the Christian Wilkins situation, the interior pass-rush presence was needed.
The Raiders take on the Commanders in Week 3. Washington's offensive line has surrendered seven sacks over the first two weeks, tied for the fourth-most. There is also a good chance that Jayden Daniels does not suit up for this one with a nagging knee injury. Marcus Mariota would be in line to start. Keep firing up the big man. He is a great IDP streaming option for Week 3.
IDP Streaming Option: IDL Daron Payne, Washington Commanders
Matchup: Las Vegas Raiders - Ranked 21st in Matt Bitonti's Offensive Line Rankings
Our IDP streaming interior defensive linemen are playing each other this week, making it easy to track. At least in the box score, Payne was nonexistent against the Packers in Week 2. The Packers are excellent. He did create two quarterback pressures. He was a menace in Week 1, where he compiled five tackles and a sack. His run defense has been suspect at best, but he is being streamed for his pass-rush upside.
The Raiders are tied with the Commanders, allowing the fourth-most sacks in the league thus far. Per PFF, Payne has a pass-rush grade of 74.1 this season. Geno Smith looked like a shell of himself last week, and Payne isn't going to make things any easier. Fire up Payne as an excellent IDP streaming option for Week 3.
IDP Streaming Option: Edge Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills
