Top 10 FanDuel DFS Plays for NFL Week 4

Three weeks of data are in the books, injuries have started to shuffle a few backfields and receiver rooms, and byes begin creeping onto the schedule soon. Below are 10 plays worth building around on this week's main slate, broken down by position with the reasoning behind each one.

Quarterback

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills, $9,100 (vs. New England)

Allen has rushed for two touchdowns in each of his first three games, and this matchup doesn't look like the one that slows him down. Buffalo's offense has been one of the more consistent scoring units in the league to open the season, and New England's defense hasn't faced a dual threat quarterback with this kind of rushing equity yet this year. He's the priciest quarterback on the slate once again, but the rushing floor alone separates him from almost everyone else at the position, and his touchdown upside on the ground gives him a path to value even on a day where the passing numbers look ordinary.

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans, $7,000 (vs. Dallas)

Stroud gets a struggling Dallas defense that allows the third highest opponent passer rating in the league at 121.3, along with one of the highest completion percentages allowed. Houston attempted 55 passes against Cincinnati last week even with a diminished receiving corps, and that kind of pass heavy game plan against a defense this leaky gives Stroud one of the better ceilings at the position this week. He's also expected to have his top target back, which only adds to the upside here after a quiet offensive showing without him, and a connection with Dalton Schultz underneath has given this passing game a reliable safety valve even on weeks when the perimeter targets are banged up.

Running Back

Aaron Jones Sr., Minnesota Vikings, $6,200 (vs. Miami)

Jones gets a juicy matchup against a Miami defense that's been one of the more exploitable units against the run through the first three weeks. He remains a key piece of Minnesota's offense, splitting work with the rookie backfield depth behind him but still commanding the clear majority of early down snaps and goal line opportunities. This is shaping up as one of the more favorable spots on his schedule, and with Minnesota's passing attack dealing with some injury questions of its own at receiver, there's a real chance the offensive game plan leans a little more heavily on the ground game than usual this week.

Jeremiyah Love, Arizona Cardinals, $6,600 range (at New York Giants)

Love has officially taken over Arizona's backfield after a 21 carry, 90 yard, one touchdown performance to go with five catches last week, pushing Tyler Allgeier firmly into a complementary role. He's averaging four targets per game on top of the rushing work, which keeps his floor high even if the Cardinals fall behind, and he gets a Giants defense that's been generous to opposing backs.

Braelon Allen, New York Jets, $5,700 (at Chicago)

With Breece Hall sidelined for the next few weeks, Allen steps into the clear lead back role in New York. He gets a Chicago defense allowing 5.09 yards per carry, the second most in the league, and 117 rushing yards per game, giving him a favorable first start at a price that hasn't fully caught up to his new workload. Aaron Jones Sr. ran for 105 yards against this defense, while Saquon Barkley even in a blowout had 82 yards on 15 carries (5.5 yards per carry). The only risk with Allen is that he doesn't become the bellcow back this week and splits time with Isaiah Davis.

Ken Walker III III, Kansas City Chiefs, $8,500 (at Las Vegas)

Walker has been the most productive running back in the league through three weeks and continues to see a workload befitting his new three year, $43 million deal in Kansas City. The Chiefs made it clear with that contract that they intended to lean on him early and often rather than split the work the way Seattle sometimes did, and the early season snap counts back that up. Las Vegas hasn't shown much ability to slow down opposing ground games, and Walker remains squarely in bell cow territory regardless of opponent, with real receiving work mixed in that keeps his floor high even in a negative game script.
