Bijan Robinson, Atlanta vs. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit

The 2027 rookie class is the most anticipated since 2023. Robinson headlined the 2023 class. Gibbs emerged after a transfer to Alabama. Robinson was the consensus selection throughout rookie drafts and has been entrenched as the Dynasty RB1 since entering the league.

Only one player has knocked him out of that spot for any period of time.

Gibbs.

The two have begun alternating positions in the market since late 2025. The scorching run between Weeks 7 and 12, when Gibbs totaled 828 scrimmage yards and 8 touchdowns over 5 games, ignited the debate. The trade of Gibbs' longtime running mate, David Montgomery, threw gasoline on the fire.

The two finished tightly in 0.5 PPR scoring, with Robinson at 19.5 PPG and Gibbs at 19.3.

How to decide?

My tongue-in-cheek default answer has simply been "yes." We can be honest with ourselves and acknowledge that there is no wrong answer here. That is also a cop out. And you are here for an answer.

Gibbs has the better offense. That opens the door for elite efficiency. It also means there are mouths to feed.

Robinson has more strength in his frame. The Falcons' offense needs him to a different level for survival than the Lions need Gibbs.

The pragmatic answer is to value whoever your leaguemates value higher and capitalize on the opportunity to move to the other back.

The practical answer is Robinson beat out Gibbs in 2025, and there is little reason to take his crown.

Jeremiyah Love, Arizona vs. Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas vs. De'Von Achane, Miami

It's understandable Dynasty consensus would place Love and Jeanty ahead of Achane. They are both at least two years younger. Love is nearly 3.5 years younger. But should they be an entire tier ahead?

None are on offenses that inspire confidence, though Jeanty has a new Super Bowl-winning coach and National Championship quarterback.

Achane's proximity to Robinson and Gibbs in age and in 2025 fantasy scoring is the most interesting factor here. His 18.1 points finished 1.4 points behind Robinson and 1.2 behind Gibbs in 0.5 PPR. Nearly equal distance ahead of sixth-place rushing champion James Cook III's 16.8.

We are all taking Love and Jeanty. But the hate on Achane is trending too far.

Chase Brown, Cincinnati vs. Javonte Williams, Dallas

At first pass, few would raise their eyebrows at the disparity between Brown's standing at RB13 and Williams at RB20 on Keeptradecut.com. Our Dan Hindery, as sharp a Dynasty mind as you will find, has Brown at RB9 and Williams at RB21 in the great Dynasty Trade Value Chart + tool

Would it surprise you to learn that Williams is 35 days younger? Or that he rushed for 182 more yards and nearly doubled Brown's rushing touchdowns in 2025?

Brown made up the production in the passing game, nearly doubling Williams' reception total, 69 to 35, and posting 300 more receiving yards. In the end, Brown averaged 14.4 points in 0.5 PPR scoring to Williams' 14.1. The offensive environments are similar; both feature potent offenses and defenses struggling to keep pace.

The most significant difference?

Williams signed a three-year, $24 million extension to remain the clear top back in Dallas. Brown? He enters a contract year, having voiced his desire to remain in Cincinnati early in the offseason, though a deal is not in place midway through the summer.

I agree with the consensus that Brown should be ranked above Williams, leaning toward his passing game usage. The two should be much tighter in rankings.
