Jonah Coleman (RB-DEN)
Bid Recommendation: 25-50% of Annual FAAB Budget
Coleman relieved an injured JK Dobbins in the second half against the Jaguars and arguably outplayed him. RJ Harvey was out with a hamstring injury, while Dobbins' hamstring injury may be minor and not cost him any time, but Coleman could assert himself as the best and most versatile back in this backfield in short order. He is a speculative add, but the Broncos' schedule softens up in the second half, so be patient.
Bryce Young (QB-CAR)
Bid Recommendation: 20-40% of Annual FAAB Budget
Young always has big games in Atlanta, so Week 2's outstanding fantasy result wasn't a surprise. It was still confirmation that he is coming into his own, along with his young receivers. The Browns and Lions are up the next two weeks, so Young is a high-priority pickup if he is still out there and might be your QB1 for the foreseeable future. Between Brad Idzik's playcalling, Jalen Coker's continued breakout, and Darren Waller's red-zone presence, Young is cooking with no signs of slowing down.
Tyler Shough (QB-NO)
Bid Recommendation: 20-40% of Annual FAAB Budget
Shough and the Saints offense had to put up a lot of fight against the Ravens just to get field goals and stay in the game for the first half plus, but Shough came on to play his best football down the stretch for the second straight week. His game-winning one-yard touchdown dive put him into the low QB1 ranks in a tough matchup. Consider him a high-floor QB1 going forward and absolutely worth a big bid if he is still on the waiver wire.
Adonai Mitchell (WR-NYJ)
Bid Recommendation: 20-40% of Annual FAAB Budget
Make no mistake, Mitchell is as important in this pass offense as Garrett Wilson. Mitchell led the team with 12 targets and six catches, tying Breece Hall for a team-leading 63 receiving yards. Mitchell also got multiple deep targets that could have been big plays if not for a pass interference penalty and excellent defensive plays on the ball. He is an every-week WR3/Flex with upside who should not be on your bench against the Lions.
Denzel Boston (WR-CLE)
Bid Recommendation: 15-30% of Annual FAAB Budget
Boston had a long catch-and-run touchdown with some poor tackling by the Bucs and was much more involved in the short passing game on an afternoon that might have seen Deshaun Watson's career reborn. Boston looks like a rookie who has already arrived. He led the team in targets and got more snaps than any other offensive skill player. He's a WR3/Flex against the Panthers in the Browns' home opener.
Oronde Gadsden (TE-LAC)
Bid Recommendation: 12-25% of Annual FAAB Budget
The Chargers lost David Njoku and Charlie Kolar for at least four games, so Gadsden is the last man standing at tight end. He has a massive ceiling for Week 3 against the Bills, but might be a boom/bust play for the next month and a half after that because of the tough schedule the Chargers face.
