Fantasy Football Impact for Jalen Nailor with the Las Vegas Raiders
Nailor is coming home. The speedy receiver starred for powerhouse Las Vegas high school Bishop Gorman, winning four consecutive state championships alongside NFL receivers Rome Odunze and Cedric Tillman. He has risen from a sixth-round pick and gets his opportunity to claim a meaningful role in a wide-open receiver room.
Over the last two seasons, Nailor emerged in the third wide receiver role for the Vikings in 2024 following the departure of K.J. Osborn. Nailor benefited from the attention Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison commanded as the top receivers. He played little in his first two seasons, but showed development between the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, when he flipped from 54% of his snaps outside in 2024 to 58% inside as the leading slot receiver.
Las Vegas should provide a familiar, well-fitting scheme as new coach Klint Kubiak arrives from Seattle. Kubiak and Nailor never overlapped in Minnesota, where Kubiak was the offensive coordinator in 2021 while Nailor arrived the next season, but Kubiak and Kevin O'Connell's Vikings offenses both have roots in the Shanahan tree. Nailor and Kubiak also share the Sam Darnold connection. Darnold was Nailor's quarterback in 2024 before leading Kubiak's Seattle offense to the Super Bowl.
The Raiders have a significant need at slot receiver with young receivers Jack Bech, Tre Tucker, and Dont'e Thornton Jr. primarily operating outside. Many of those slot snaps end up with Brock Bowers, especially given the emergence of Michael Mayer in 2025. Nailor has shown the ability to play outside and accommodate the two-tight-end look.
The Raiders have undergone a significant offensive overhaul, adding center Tyler Linderbaum, and expect to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick. The Raiders added additional draft capital following a trade of Maxx Crosby. Nailor profiles as a solid contributor, though he should only be viewed as marginally ahead of the other receivers, particularly Bech or Tucker.
The talent of the roster dictates continued attention at wide receiver. Nailor offers versatility in Kubiak's offense, potentially profiling either similarly to Cooper Kupp's 2025 role or as a Rashid Shaheed-style field stretcher.
