Kyren Williams is the Rodney Dangerfield of modern fantasy football: he gets no respect. Despite operating as a perennial fantasy RB1, fantasy managers continually invent reasons to fade him on draft day.

This year's narrative claims that teammate Blake Corum is primed to demand a larger share of the backfield, relegating Williams to a true committee and capping the ceiling for both backs. But why are we buying into that fear? Williams has given Sean McVay zero reason to downshift his usage. More importantly, the Rams front office backed up their trust with a financial commitment last season, signing Williams to a three-year, $33 million contract with $23 million guaranteed.

While Corum is a capable backup, Williams shapes up as a solid, dependable target at his current ADP.

Elite Consistency

From 2023 to 2025, only four running backs in the NFL finished in the Top 10 in three consecutive seasons:

Top 10 Fantasy Running Backs (0.5 PPR), Three Consecutive Seasons

Player 2023 Finish 2024 Finish 2025 Finish 2026 ADP
Bijan Robinson 9 4 3 2
Jahmyr Gibbs 10 1 4 1
Derrick Henry 8 3 7 12
Kyren Williams 5 6 8 14

Robinson and Gibbs are off the board in the top three picks, while Henry goes in the late second round. Yet, despite producing a comparable three-year track record, Williams sits in the middle of the third as the RB14. He has never finished worse than RB8 as a starter, making him a comfortable target at a fair discount relative to his historical output.
