When I started the Bloom 100 over 20 years ago, I was convinced talent was king. "Talent creates opportunity" was my motto in rookie drafts.
Since then, I have weighted early opportunity, quality of opportunity, and quality of organization/offense more and more every year.
DESTINATION MATTERS! A LOT!
With that in mind, here's a quick rundown of how each team can add or destroy a rookie's dynasty value.
Value Add Teams
- Chicago - In Ben Johnson/Ryan Poles we trust
- Detroit - In Dan Campbell/Brad Holmes we trust
- Green Bay - In Matt LaFleur/Brian Gutekunst we trust
- LA Rams - In McVay/Snead/Demoff we trust
- LA Chargers - In Harbaugh/Horitz we trust
- Tampa Bay - In Jason Licht we trust
Give Them the Benefit of the Doubt
- Buffalo - James Cook more than makes up for Keon Coleman
- Cincinnati - Joe Burrow is a fantasy alchemist
- Dallas - Crushing the first round lately
- Indianapolis - Most early RB/WR/TE picks have hit
- Miami - Packers South
- NY Giants - Schoen's hit rate on QB/RB/WR/TE is actually good
- Seattle - They know what they are doing
Uncertain/Mixed Bag
- Atlanta - New regime
- Baltimore - Was it Harbaugh or DeCosta?
- Carolina - A lot of whiffs in Morgan's 2024 draft, but Coker was a home run UDFA
- Houston - Caserio didn't draft Nico Collins
- Jacksonville - Not enough to judge yet
- Kansas City - Does Rashee Rice make up for Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Mecole Hardman, and Skyy Moore?
- Las Vegas - Let's give Spytek a real coach first
- Minnesota - No GM; is Kevin O'Connell's genius wearing off?
- New England - TreVeyon Henderson was overhyped
- New Orleans - Encouraging signs, but gave up a third for Devaughn Vele
- Philadelphia - Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson should haunt Roseman to his grave
- San Francisco - Isaac Guerendo, Tyrion Davis-Price, Trey Sermon, Joe Williams
- Tennessee - Not enough to judge yet
- Washington - Jacory Croskey-Merritt, but also Ben Sinnott and Luke McCaffrey
Value Loss Teams
- Arizona - Let's hire the guys who couldn't fix the Jets offense!
- Cleveland - Who is the quarterback? Does it matter?
- Denver - Payton finally decided to trade a 1st instead of blowing yet another 2nd-day WR pick
- NY Jets - Ship of Fools
- Pittsburgh - Living in the past
