DFS Roundtable: Favorite Stacks

Chad Parsons's DFS Roundtable: Favorite Stacks Chad Parsons Published 12/12/2019

Which stacks stand out as ones to target in Week 15 for lineups and which are risky plays?

JASON WOOD

Ryan Tannehill + A.J. Brown -- Tannehill is playing out of his mind (9 yards per attempt) and A.J. Brown is benefiting. Brown hadn't played more than 69% of snaps through Week 9, but has averaged over 85% of snaps in the last month. Brown and Tannehill is a one of my favorite GPP stacks this week, and I would consider using Tannehill in cash given his price tag.

Aaron Rodgers + Davante Adams -- Rodgers and Adams are too volatile this year to trust in cash lineups, but they're talented enough to be the No. 1s at their respective positions any given week; so for GPP purposes, they're in play.

PHIL ALEXANDER

  • Target - Philip Rivers + Keenan Allen - It's far easier to pass on Minnesota than it is to run. The Vikings have allowed the eighth-most normalized fantasy points to enemy wide receivers over the last five weeks and Allen is available at his second-lowest salary of the season (DraftKings).
  • Target - Baker Mayfield + Jarvis Landry - Landry has long since been the more productive of Cleveland's star wide receiver duo and he'll avoid Patrick Peterson in coverage this week. With Peterson chasing down glorified decoy Odell Beckham, Landry is poised to dominate Arizona's lesser corners, Kevin Peterson and Byron Murphy.

JAMES BRIMACOMBE

Ryan Tannehill + A.J. Brown -- If you want to chase points there may not be a better duo to take some shots on this week. With Corey Davis having such a down season you might want to throw a few lineups with him in it over Brown just to play the ownership game.

Ryan Fitzpatrick + Mike Gesicki - Miami is too risky for me every single week this season. There is too many uncertainties in this offense and the tight end position has some stronger spots with Ertz, Waller, Kelce, and Kittle at the top.

Derek Carr + Darren Waller - This feels like the only duo you can stack on the Raiders currently and the key to this one is hoping the game stays competitive and even if the Jaguars can get a lead it could benefit Carr and Waller.

Philip Rivers + Keenan Allen - Allen is one of my favorite plays at the wide receiver position this week. That being said I don't feel like I have to stack him with Rivers but I might rather just play Allen solo.

Baker Mayfield + Jarvis Landry - I love this Browns/Cardinals game this week and I will be having plenty of stacks with Mayfield and Landry and also will be playing the flip side with Murray and Kirk.

JUSTIN HOWE

TARGET: Jimmy Garoppolo-George Kittle (throw in Deebo Samuel for good measure). The 49ers’ Week 15 matchup could hardly be more conducive to their strengths. Garoppolo isn’t much of a downfield passer, relying much more on his slots-and-seams guys. Samuel and Kittle share targets with a number of guys, but they both continue to show big-time playmaking ability when fed the ball in the open. This isn’t often a high-impact passing game, but it’s topped 315 yards in 3 recent shootouts.

RISKY: Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams. This is still a pricey stack, even with these two struggling to push the ball downfield. Since Adams’ Week 9 return from injury, he’s put up just 6.3 yards per target, while Rodgers has produced a weak 5.9 per attempt overall. The ceiling for this pair is very real, and we’ve all seen their multi-touchdown eruptions. But again, the cost here is fairly prohibitive. There’s definitely better upside around this price point.
