Week 11: Last Minute Moves

Jordan McNamara's Week 11: Last Minute Moves Jordan McNamara Published 11/19/2023

Welcome to week 11 of last-minute moves to make. This article is intended to give you late-week waiver and free-agent advice based on late-week news and gameday inactives. Injuries and other late-week developments can have a huge impact on lines and rosters, and being up-to-date on these, especially before waivers and free agency locks before kickoff, is a huge advantage.

Spam Tight end

The Mark Andrews season-ending injury throws the tight end position into turmoil. Since 2016, Mark Andrews has been the only tight end other than Travis Kelce to finish TE1 overall. To put Andrews into context, in his career entering this season, he had been targeted on 24.9% of his routes, a 99th percentile outcome among tight ends with 200 routes since 2008. In his career, Andrews has produced 2.18 career yards per route run, a 100th percentile outcome among those tight ends. To put Andrews’s season into context, Andrews has 1.96 yards per route run this season. This season is the second worst of his career, but he ranks fifth in the league among qualifiers.

Contending teams with Mark Andrews will be in a desperate place this upcoming week, and today is the day to beat them to the punch. Adding tight ends will give you the flexibility to potentially trade with the teams that lost Andrews this week and get a jump on next week’s waiver wire articles.

Tight ends to consider include Donald Parham (with Gerald Everett injured), Daniel Bellinger (with Darren Waller on IR), Jeremy Ruckert, and Juwan Johnson. This week is also the first week Philadelphia will play without Dallas Goedert, and there is no certainty about how their tight ends will be used in his absence. Both Albert Okwuegbunam and Jack Stoll should have an opportunity to compete for snaps and warrant exploratory stashes this week.
