Drafting Cats
robertcarter9423: Is it crazy to draft from the third pick in a PPR league with 6pt passing touchdowns: Jahmyr Gibbs, Tee Higgins & Joe Burrow?
Hutchinson Brown: Jahmyr Gibbs third overall is fine, assuming this is a 12-person league. Joe Burrow in the second or in the third feels like a bit of a reach. He is at the bottom of the elite tier of quarterbacks due to his lack of rushing upside. Burrow should be more like a fourth or fifth round pick in fantasy drafts. It isn't crazy, but I would likely not go in this direction. The stack is nice, but it still feels like a reach.
Meddling In Miami
iconiconicon: Best read on the De'Von Achane situation in Miami?
Hutchinson Brown: Achane is a player who relies on extreme explosiveness, as well as speed, to make his value worth it in fantasy football. A soft tissue injury in the calf could severely impact his ability there. The reports have been shady, so he's not completely off my draft board, but I wouldn't take him in fantasy until the third round. I'd be taking a lot of Ollie Gordon II, who's been stealing Jaylen Wright's lunch money this preseason, outplaying him by a wide margin for the backup running back role on the team.
In Hutch's Mind, He's Gone To Carolina
xrayguy33: Outside the top five quarterbacks, who should I target in my dynasty league in a trade that would be an upgrade over Tua Tagovailoa?
Hutchinson Brown: I love Bryce Young as a trade target. New weapons, Dave Canales is in year two as the head coach, and we saw the breakout in the second half of last season. Young played extremely well for fantasy with a new energy in the running game and made some phenomenal throws in the process. He's set for a big-time breakout. But to be honest, I like Tua Tagovailoa this year. Miami's defense is going to be bad; they might have to throw at a top-three rate in football this season, which makes Tua a nice fantasy sleeper. If you can't find a good trade, I like Tagovailoa.
