Welcome to the latest edition of AMA Recap! We'll be summarizing our bi-weekly Discord AMAs as we lead up to the 2025 NFL season. This week, Footballguys Analyst Hutchinson Brown takes a look at some early-round targets, a player he's approaching with caution, the Denver Broncos running back situation, and much more!
Early-Round Targets
McNasty: Who are your top targets in the first five rounds of a 12-team PPR league that starts 3 WR and 3 Flex players?
Hutchinson Brown: Here are two big ones: TreVeyon Henderson and Jameson Williams.
Henderson is an elite talent built for fantasy football, boasting big-play ability and pass-catching skills. Rhamondre Stevenson, an average bruiser, won't be able to hold off this explosive phenom for long. I expect Henderson to take over by midseason. Additionally, Josh McDaniels' history of targeting running backs is extensive. In 11 of his 16 years with New England, he had a running back with over 55 targets, with about half of those seasons resulting in over 70 targets. Henderson is going to be a pass-catching machine in 2025. Love him!
I also love Jameson Williams as a 5th- or 6th-round pick. The former top-15 NFL Draft pick is a talented big-play threat in a fantastic offense and has a clear-cut WR2 role ahead of him. Last year, after injuries and suspensions slowed his progress early in his career, we saw a breakout. Now, with the coaching staff hyping him up and a contract year ahead, he's set to take another big step forward. Smash pick!
Offenses On My Mind
nsdozi10: Which offense are you most excited for this year, and which one are you least excited for?
Hutchinson Brown: Ironically, both are in the NFC South. I love the Carolina Panthers this year. Bryce Young is set for a massive breakout after flashing down the stretch last year. You've got Dave Canales entering year two, plus Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker, Ja'Tavion Sanders in his second season, and first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan ready for a fun rookie campaign.
The team I'm most worried about is the New Orleans Saints. Chris Olave's concussion history is concerning, Alvin Kamara is nearing the age cliff, and the quarterback room is a mess. Rattler hasn't been good, Shough has looked terrible in camp, and Jake Haener… well, he's Jake Haener. It's looking rough.
Proceed With Caution!
monkeypaw237: What player are you absolutely avoiding at all costs this draft season?
