The NFL preseason is filled with more news than ever. If you want to find a reason to move someone up or down in your projections, it's probably out there. The key to accuracy, however, is to lean into the real news while dismissing the noise.
It's a tough task, but here's where my projections have moved recently.
First, let's go through who's on the way up.
Recent Risers
RB Braelon Allen, NY Jets
Allen's projections continue to rise following strong practice performances and speculation that he could challenge Breece Hall for lead back duties.
RB Chase Brown, Cincinnati
Brown's fantasy projections have risen after Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher cemented his role as the focal point of Cincinnati's rushing attack.
RB Zach Charbonnet, Seattle
Charbonnet's stock has risen under Seattle's new offensive system that emphasizes running the ball. Charbonnet's physical running style is a good fit for the offense, and he could eat into Ken Walker III's role.
RB James Cook, Buffalo
Cook's stock rose following his four-year, $48 million contract extension, signed a week ago, making him the sixth-highest paid running back in the NFL and ending his brief holdout.
RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Washington
Croskey-Merritt's fantasy stock has surged following his impressive 27-yard touchdown run against Cincinnati, with reports suggesting he may have leapfrogged Brian Robinson Jr. on the depth chart. Trade speculation now swirls around Robinson's diminished role.
RB Ollie Gordon II, Miami
Gordon's stock has climbed after consecutive strong preseason performances, including 10 carries for 50 yards against Detroit, positioning him to potentially overtake Jaylen Wright for the RB2 role.
RB Omarion Hampton, LA Chargers
Hampton's projections have risen as Najee Harris remains sidelined with an eye injury from a July 4th fireworks incident. Hampton has established himself as the Week 1 starter in Los Angeles.
RB TreVeyon Henderson, New England
Henderson's projections have risen after scoring his second preseason touchdown, an 8-yard rushing score against Minnesota, showcasing his versatility following his 100-yard kickoff return touchdown in the opener. The primary casualty has been veteran Rhamondre Stevenson.
RB Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland
Judkins' stock has rebounded after prosecutors declined to file formal charges against him, clearing the path for his return to the Browns and potential rookie contract signing.
WR Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay
Egbuka's fantasy projections have climbed after Jalen McMillan suffered a severe neck sprain that will sideline him for weeks, potentially beyond the Week 9 bye. This opens the door for Egbuka to start in Week 1 alongside Mike Evans.
WR Matthew Golden, Green Bay
Golden's stock has risen during Packers training camp, with reports noting that his 4.29 40-yard time is translating onto the field.
WR Isaac TeSlaa, Detroit
TeSlaa's fantasy projections have continued to rise after making strong impressions in both of Detroit's preseason games. He's been earning praise from teammates and coaches for his work ethic, route-running, and blocking ability.
TE Chig Okonkwo, Tennessee
Okonkwo's stock continues to rise based on training camp reports showing strong chemistry with rookie quarterback Cam Ward and his positioning as Tennessee's clear top tight end with minimal competition for targets.
