Week 9 Results
Detroit (vs Minnesota) - 5 sacks, 1 INT
J.J. McCarthy passed the test of relentless pressure from the Lions' defense, but it was still a solid showing for their fantasy D/ST.
A Look Ahead: @WAS @PHI NYG - We got a bonus start here with the Jayden Daniels injury.
LA Rams (vs New Orleans) - 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery, 1 INT
Tyler Shough didn't play well, but he only threw 24 times as the game quickly got out of hand, and the Rams' defense fell into garbage time mode.
A Look Ahead: @SF SEA TB - We may come back to the Rams against the Panthers in Week 13
LA Chargers (at Tennessee) - 4 sacks
The Titans got a defensive and special teams score early in this game, which meant there was less desperation comeback time for Cam Ward, which has been the source of a lot of his sacks and turnovers.
A Look Ahead: PIT @JAX BYE - We'll let the Chargers D/ST, uh, recharge before a Week 13 meeting with Las Vegas
Jacksonville (at Las Vegas) - 2 sacks, 1 INT
Brock Bowers comes back from a knee injury, and voila, Geno Smith looks like an NFL starting quarterback again. Even a decent one for fantasy. Go figure.
A Look Ahead: @HOU LAC @ARI - Even though Week 9 wasn't great, you'll get a start against Davis Mills for free in Week 10.
New England (vs Atlanta) - 1 sack
As long as Michael Penix Jr. throws almost exclusively to Drake London, he can limit mistakes in a come-from-behind game script.
A Look Ahead: @TB NYJ @CIN - Week 11 against the Jets will be a consideration.
Green Bay (vs Carolina) - 1 sack, 1 INT
Rico Dowdle was all the offense Carolina needed on a strong day from their defense against a Packers offense that lost their best player during the game.
A Look Ahead: PHI @NYG MIN - Send 'em packing.
Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda
Tennessee (vs Los Angeles Chargers) - 6 sacks, 1 INT, 1 DEF TD, 1 ST TD
Chimere Dike returned a punt for a score, and Cody Barton rang up a pick-six on a rare Justin Herbert bad decision. Even without those huge plays, the Titans were in Herbert's face all day and posted a rare competitive defensive showing.
Pittsburgh (vs Indianapolis) - 5 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries, 3 INT
Bad Daniel Jones finally reared his head in this one as the Steelers were in his head and on top of him all day. We'll have to watch Sunday morning to see how he responds in Berlin against a sometimes rough Falcons defense.
Arizona (at Dallas) - 5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 INT
The Cardinals offense is actually good with Jacoby Brissett. The defense has been underrated all along and made Dak Prescott look like a mediocre quarterback in a home stadium that has seen his best football earlier this season.
Baltimore (at Miami) - 2 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 INT, 6 points allowed
Just when we thought Tua Tagovailoa might be back, he slid back to down to the bottom of the mountain. Nevermore will we miss an opportunity to target him with our rent-a-defense.
Dallas (vs Arizona) - 5 sacks, 1 ST TD
The Cowboys pass rush is legit and they just added Quinnen Williams. A punt block touchdown made them a surprise Week 10 hit.
Atlanta (at New England) - 6 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 1 INT
The Falcons defense could test Daniel Jones confidence in Berlin after not making life easy for Drake Maye.
