Sleepers on the Arizona Cardinals

Reasons RB Trey Benson Could Be a Sleeper

  • Maurile Tremblay: Conner's age-30 mileage plus Benson's 11th-round ADP create a cheap path to lead-back touches.
  • Jason Wood: We know that quite a few preseason RB2s will end up getting chances to carry their offenses, and our fantasy teams. Benson is one of the more intriguing backups with a 3-down skill set and an incumbent who's 30 years old.
  • Andy Hicks: Due to James Conner having a career year, Trey Benson sat on the bench most of his rookie season. The team will want to give him every opportunity to be the lead back into the future. Now it's up to Benson.
  • Jeff Haseley: Is this the year James Conner gives way to Trey Benson? If so, Benson's availability after round ten is appealing.
  • Meng Song: 2024 was an outlier where many older running backs stayed healthy. This has led to No. 2 backs with paths to workhorse roles cheaper than in most years.
