As we move further into the 2026 season, Waiver Wire Wonders become more necessary.

The list of fantasy-relevant players sidelined by injuries continues to grow. We got Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams back just in time to see Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles go down for the season with potentially life-threatening blood clots in his lungs (That the Eagles let Hurts play in London and take a Transatlantic flight knowing he had blood clots in his leg is equal parts stunning and stupid). No new running backs got hurt in Week 6, but plenty already were. The list of banged-up wide receivers continues to grow, with Davante Adams of the Los Angeles Rams just the latest big-name pass-catcher to suffer a major injury.

Never mind that we're well into the bye weeks, which means four teams sitting Week 7 out. No Josh Allen. Or James Cook III. Or Terry McLaurin. Or Parker Washington.

Add in that there is no shortage of fantasy managers sitting at 2-4 or worse watching their season circle the drain, and a whole lotta folks need help—badly.

What? We could all use a little more culture.

Overcoming injuries and navigating the bye weeks is just part of playing fantasy football. If you want to take home the title, you have to be able to rise above adversity. To conquer the trials and tribulations that every season contains. But you don't have to fight those battles by yourself.

Waiver Wire Wonders is here to lend a hand.

Each week during the 2026 season, we will be building a "lineup" (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX) consisting of players who are available in over 50 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues. Will those players single-handedly win you a matchup? Probably not.

But they won't lose it for you either.

Week 7 Waiver Wire Wonders

QB Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh (26.2 Percent Rostered)

Don't look now, but old man Aaron is quietly having arguably his best season since the last time he was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player back in 2021. Rodgers sits eighth in the NFL in passing yards (1,487) and third in touchdown passes (12) after six weeks, and Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins told reporters that, to him, Rodgers is playing as well as he ever has.

"In Aaron's world, he wants to, at times, call the game at the line of scrimmage, which is going to be where he's kind of becoming the offensive coordinator, and he's going to give a quick hand signal here or there," Cousins said. "And you've heard people like Davante Adams joke about how quick and subtle that hand signal is going to be."

Rodgers saw his streak of 20-point fantasy outings end in last week's overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he has still been a top-five fantasy quarterback over the past month. The Steelers are tied for third in the league with 235 pass attempts, and this week's opponent (the New Orleans Saints) has a bottom-five defense.

RB Kendre Miller, New Orleans (33.2 Percent Rostered)

The New Orleans Saints' run game hasn't been good this year—New Orleans is averaging just 97.3 yards per game on the ground and 3.8 yards per carry. But any back seeing a decent number of touches is worth a look on waiver wires, and as ESPN's Eric Karabell wrote, Miller checked that box in a Week 6 win over the New York Giants.

"Miller scored nine points for the second consecutive game, although this one was a more positive outing since he saw 20 rushing attempts and turned them into 70 rushing yards," he said. "Yes, wily veteran Alvin Kamara scored on a long TD reception, but it's clear the Saints are keeping his volume low. Miller seems safe for rushing attempts."

Yes, 3.5 yards per carry isn't ideal. Neither is the fact that both Kamara and Saints quarterback Tyler Shough found the end zone last week while Miller did not. But that doesn't change the fact that Miller notched 22 carries at MetLife Stadium, and that kind of volume is hard to find on the wire.
