Quarterbacks
| Rank | Player | Opponent | Salary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tua Tagovailoa | vs Saints | $4,900 |
| 2 | Josh Allen | at Steelers | $7,500 |
| 3 | Matthew Stafford | at Panthers | $7,000 |
| 4 | Justin Herbert | vs Raiders | $6,500 |
| 5 | Jacoby Brissett | at Buccaneers | $5,800 |
| 6 | Trevor Lawrence | at Titans | $5,400 |
Tua Tagovailoa is the salary saver in cash at the quarterback position this week, priced at just $4,900. He's playing at home in a good matchup against a Saints defense that ranks just 20th in EPA/Play Allowed and 26th in Dropback EPA Allowed.
Josh Allen leads the quarterback position in DraftKings points per game (25) and rush touchdowns (10). He ranks second at the position in rushing yards (371), tenth in passing yards per game (246.3), and 11th in pass touchdowns per game (1.6). Buffalo's offense ranks eighth in EPA/Play and 12th in Pass Rate Over Expected (PROE). This is not a Steelers defense to fear, as they rank just 19th in EPA/Play Allowed and 18th in Dropback EPA Allowed. Allen is the best quarterback play of the week in all formats.
Matthew Stafford is absolutely dominating. He leads a Rams offense that ranks first in EPA/Play, second in Pass Rate Over Expected (PROE), and third in Early Down Pass Frequency (EDPF). Stafford leads the NFL in pass touchdowns per game (2.7) and ranks seventh in passing yards per game (257.3). He gets a Panthers defense that ranks just 21st in both EPA/Play Allowed and Dropback EPA Allowed. Stafford is a fantastic play in both cash and GPPs.
Justin Herbert has been struggling a bit while playing behind a banged-up offensive line, but that shouldn't be a major storyline in this one, as the Raiders' defense ranks just 23rd in pressure percent (19%). Playing at home and with some time to throw, Herbert should have a good game. He leads a Chargers offense that ranks third in PROE and first in EDPF, and he ranks 12th in passing yards per game (244.6) and ninth in pass touchdowns per game (1.7). Herbert saves a bit of salary in cash and is a good tournament play coming off the bye.
In Jacoby Brissett's six starts this season, he leads the NFL in passing yards per game (314.5) and ranks eighth in pass touchdowns per game (1.8). Arizona's offense has fully leaned into Brissett as they rank fourth in both PROE and EDPF. The matchup is strong against a Buccaneers defense that ranks just 22nd in EPA/Play Allowed and 24th in Dropback EPA Allowed. Brissett is a solid play in both cash and tournaments.
Trevor Lawrence is a salary saver in cash at $5,400 in a favorable spot against a bad Titans defense that ranks just 29th in EPA/Play Allowed and 27th in Dropback EPA Allowed. Jacksonville's offense ranks tenth in PROE.
Running Backs
| Rank | Player | Opponent | Salary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | De'Von Achane | vs Saints | $8,300 |
| 2 | James Cook | at Steelers | $7,600 |
| 3 | Christian McCaffrey | at Browns | $9,300 |
| 4 | Ken Walker III | vs Vikings | $5,300 |
| 5 | Travis Etienne Jr. | at Titans | $6,500 |
| 6 | Bijan Robinson | at Jets | $8,500 |
De'Von Achane ranks fourth in opportunities per game (21.4), seventh in total yards per game (115.5), and seventh in touchdowns (9). At the running back position, he ranks second in receptions (54), fourth in receiving yards (370), and second in receiving touchdowns (4). The dual-threat gets to play at home against a Saints defense that ranks 20th in EPA/Play Allowed. The Dolphins are 5.5-point favorites. Achane is an incredible play in all formats.
James Cook ranks sixth in opportunities per game (20.5), sixth in total yards per game (117), and seventh in pass touchdowns (9). The Bills are 3.5-point favorites, and Cook gets to attack a Steelers defense that ranks just 19th in EPA/Play Allowed and 26th in Rush EPA Allowed. Cook is very much in play in both cash and tournaments.
Christian McCaffrey leads the NFL in opportunities per game (26.7) and ranks second in total yards per game (131.8) and third in touchdowns (12). The 49ers are 5.5-point favorites, and with Shedeur Sanders likely struggling on the other side, McCaffrey and the 49ers should have plenty of scoring opportunities. Despite the high cost and tough matchup, McCaffrey is a good play in all formats.
The Seahawks are 10.5-point home favorites, and Ken Walker III is priced at just $5,300. Before last week, Head coach Mike Macdonald had high praise for Walker, stating, "And just even in the pass game, too, on checkdowns and finding him late in the play. It just shows you that he’s such an explosive player with a ball in his hands. And he knows there's things that he needs to clean up in his game, too. He’s done a great job in practice doing that, and we’ll continue to do that. I think Ken’s showing that he deserves some more opportunities.” Then, last week, Walker posted his highest offensive snap percentage (63%) while Zach Charbonnet posted his lowest offensive snap percentage (31%) of the season. He's cheap enough to be in play in cash and a fun tournament play due to his playing time trending up.
Travis Etienne Jr. ranks 13th in opportunities per game (18.7) and 17th in total yards per game (88.6). The Jaguars are 6.5-point favorites, and Etienne has a fantastic matchup against a Titans defense that ranks 29th in EPA/Play Allowed and 28th in Rush EPA Allowed. He's in play in all formats.
The Falcons are 2.5-point favorites, and Bijan Robinson gets to attack a bad Jets team and defense that ranks just 27th in EPA/Play Allowed and 19th in Rush EPA Allowed. Robinson ranks fifth in opportunities per game (21.2) and third in total yards per game (126.9). At the running back position, he ranks third in receptions (49) and second in receiving yards (543). With Drake London out for another week, look for Robinson's dual-threat ability to be on full display in this one, putting him in play in all formats.
