Week 7 brought another wave of key injuries across the NFL, with several fantasy-relevant players exiting games early or appearing on the sideline at less than full strength. Quarterbacks headline the list this week - notably Jayden Daniels. As teams head into a pivotal stretch of the season, monitoring practice reports and updates this week will be critical for fantasy managers preparing for Week 8.
Key: Position Player, Team | Injury | Projected Return to Play
QB Jayden Daniels, Washington | Hamstring | Projecting Week 10 Return
Jayden Daniels, who missed two weeks earlier this season with a left knee injury, suffered a hamstring injury to his right leg on Sunday.
The good news is that it's not the same leg as his previous injury, and cameras captured Daniels jogging to the locker room during the game. The bad news is that there's a real chance he could miss additional time. Hamstring strains are typically multi-week injuries, and for a mobile quarterback like Daniels, they can be especially limiting. We've already seen Lamar Jackson miss the past two games with a similar issue as Baltimore heads into its Week 7 bye.
Daniels is set to get an MRI of his hamstring on Monady, but managers should make other arrangements heading into Week 8, in case their top-tier QB is unable to go.
QB Jaxson Dart, New York Giants | Ankle
Jaxson Dart nearly led his team into Denver and came away with a victory, but New York ultimately fell just short and Dart appeared to injure his left ankle in the process.

The mechanism of injury suggests a possible high ankle sprain.
Before anyone panics, it's worth noting that this occurred in the third quarter and Dart was able to finish the game. However, fantasy managers should be aware that adrenaline can often mask symptoms in the moment, with issues becoming more apparent later in the week - we recently saw this with J.J. McCarthy in Week 2. For now, the expectation is that Dart will be available next week, but his practice participation will be important to monitor.
WR Mike Evans, Tampa Bay | Shoulder | Projecting Week 16 Return
After returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for three weeks, Mike Evans exited Monday night’s game with both a concussion and a fractured clavicle (collarbone).
The fracture is the more significant issue and will likely require surgery. Even with a “quick” recovery, a realistic return for Evans would be around Week 16. At this late stage of the fantasy season, when every win is critical, it’s understandable if managers choose to move on and free up a roster spot.
WR Nico Collins, Houston | Concussin | Projecting Week 9 Return
Nico Collins sustained a concussion Monday night and will enter the NFL's concussion protocol. Most players miss at least one week due to a concussion although there are rare circumstances where a player is able to clear the protocol in less than a week (Marvin Harrison Jr. last week). It does not help that Collins will be operating with shortened week since he played on Monday night. A week 8 return feels unrealistic.
QB Bryce Young, Carolina | Ankle | Projecting Week 10 Return
Similar to the above mentioned Jayden Daniels, Bryce Young is another QB who couldn't finish Sunday's game. Young appeared to tweak his right ankle while trying to evade an oncoming Jets defender in the backfield. Initial reports out of Carolina are encouraging, but there's still a possibility he could miss time depending on how the injury responds over the next few days.
X-rays on Bryce Young's right ankle were negative, per source. Usually standard practice to follow up with an MRI in these cases.

I'm somewhat concerned that Young may have also suffered a high ankle sprain based on his ankle twisted during his injury. Another possibility is a less common but generally less severe eversion sprain, which is more similar to a typical low ankle sprain. While I'm not projecting a lengthy absence, it seems likely Young will miss at least Week 8 when Carolina hosts Buffalo.
Update: Per Tom Pelissero an MRI revealed a high ankle sprain for Young. This confirms what I was worried about from video of Young's injury. He is unlikely to play in Week 8 and could miss more time depending on the severity of his injury.
