Top 10 DraftKings DFS Plays for NFL Week 7
Packers at Lions is the game everyone will be building around on DraftKings this week. It carries a 53.5 point total, the highest on the main slate by four points, and Detroit is coming off its bye with an implied total over 28. The 49ers and Falcons are next at 49.5, and with San Francisco missing most of its receivers, that game funnels production to a few very obvious places. Injuries are going to matter a lot this week, with Puka Nacua and Lamar Jackson both questionable heading into Sunday. Below are 10 plays worth building around, broken down by position with the reasoning behind each one.
Quarterback
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions, $6,800 (vs. Green Bay)
Goff has 13 touchdown passes in five games, and he gets to play at home in the best game environment on the slate. His numbers at Ford Field have been steady for a long time. Over 20 home games since the start of 2024, he's averaged 278.3 passing yards and 2.2 touchdowns. Detroit's implied total of 28.25 is the highest of the week. His price sits awkwardly between Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson, which should keep his ownership lower than it deserves to be, especially with Jordan Love drawing most of the attention as the cheaper quarterback in the same game.
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers, $6,600 (at Atlanta)
Purdy has been as consistent as any quarterback in the league. He's averaging 22.7 DraftKings points per game and has topped 17 in every start, with 14 touchdowns against only two interceptions. He ranks first in the league in QBR and passer rating. Atlanta allows 252 passing yards per game, fifth most in the league, and has given up 10 passing touchdowns. The Falcons are also strong against the run, which should push the 49ers toward the air. His receiving corps is thin with Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel out, but that only concentrates his targets on Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle, both of whom are on this list.
Running Back
Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers, $7,600 (at Atlanta)
McCaffrey is the first cash game click of the week. He just had his best game of the season on Monday night, with two rushing touchdowns and nine catches, and DraftKings hasn't updated his price to reflect it. He's scored seven rushing touchdowns in his last five games and is averaging 20.3 DraftKings points per game. With San Francisco's top three receivers out, he's going to be one of Purdy's main targets as well as the lead runner. Atlanta allows about 18 percent more fantasy production to running backs than the league average. He's going to be very popular, and at this price that's fine.
Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons, $8,500 (vs. San Francisco)
Robinson is the contrarian pay up play at running back. His last two games have been quieter, averaging 15 touches and 78 yards with no touchdowns, and that's exactly why the field is likely to move off him this week. Two games before that, he averaged 22 touches and 180 yards per game with four touchdowns between them. He's second in the league in rushing yards and is averaging a career best 5.8 yards per carry. The concern is real. He hasn't been heavily involved as a receiver since Week 1, and San Francisco could slow the pace of this game. But he should draw roughly half the ownership of McCaffrey, and in tournaments that gap matters.
Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $6,100 (at Carolina)
Irving has the best rushing matchup on the slate. Carolina allows 5.1 yards per carry to running backs, the most in the league, and has given up six rushing touchdowns to the position. He's shown what he can do in a soft spot, running 21 times for 165 yards and a touchdown against Dallas in Week 5. Baker Mayfield practiced all week with a glove on his injured thumb and is expected to start, which matters for Irving's receiving work. He's caught all 11 of his targets in the two full games Mayfield has played this season, and Carolina has allowed 15 receptions to running backs over its last three games.
Wide Receiver
Puka Nacua, L.A. Rams, $8,400 (at Las Vegas)
Nacua is the highest upside receiver on the slate if he plays. He had 17 catches for 138 yards on 24 targets for 40.7 DraftKings points in Week 5, and he followed that with six catches for 80 yards last week. Davante Adams is now out with a ruptured hamstring and tight end Terrance Ferguson is also out, which leaves even more of Matthew Stafford's targets for Nacua. Las Vegas has allowed a touchdown to a wide receiver in three straight weeks. The problem is his health. He picked up a minor calf injury in practice Thursday, didn't practice Friday and is questionable. If he's active and Sean McVay doesn't signal any limitations, he's a strong play. If he sits, move on without hesitation.
Matthew Golden, Green Bay Packers, $6,000 (at Detroit)
Golden is the best value among the receivers in the Packers and Lions game. He's seen 39 targets over his last four games and scored 20 or more DraftKings points in three of them. He's topped 100 receiving yards in three of his last four games, and he's caught a pass of at least 37 yards in four of six games this season. Detroit allows the second most DraftKings points to wide receivers. He's $1,000 cheaper than Christian Watson and has been the more consistent of the two. He was limited in practice with a shoulder injury, but Matt LaFleur said he has no concerns about him playing.
Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens, $6,900 (vs. Cincinnati)
Flowers projects as one of the best values at the position, and he's the Raven most people will want in a game with a 48.5 point total. Baltimore is a three point home favorite with an implied total of 25. His big play ability is the draw. He had 150 yards before halftime in the season opener at Indianapolis. His outlook depends partly on the quarterback. Lamar Jackson is questionable with an ankle injury after missing the last two games, and Ravens games have averaged far more points with Jackson on the field. If Jackson plays, Flowers is a strong mid range option. If Tyler Huntley starts again, lower expectations.
Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts, $4,800 (at Minnesota)
Allen is the cheap volume play. He's seen at least nine targets in three straight games, with 19 catches over that stretch, and he caught eight passes for 82 yards last week against Tennessee. Alec Pierce has been sidelined, which keeps Allen's role steady. The matchup is the catch. Minnesota ranks third in the league against the pass, allowing 173.2 passing yards per game, and has given up very few passing touchdowns. Allen isn't a ceiling play here. He's a floor play at $4,800, someone who should catch five or six passes and free up salary for Gibbs or Nacua.
Tight End
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers, $5,700 (at Atlanta)
Kittle is the smash spot at tight end. He has 17 or more DraftKings points in four of his last five games, including five catches for 69 yards and a touchdown on Monday night. He's earning a 21 percent target share and a 29 percent share of the team's red zone targets. With Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel both out, there's almost nowhere else for Purdy to go. Atlanta has allowed four touchdowns to tight ends in six games, and every tight end it's faced has either scored or caught at least four passes. He projects for more points than Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, both of whom cost well over $7,000, and he'll be the most popular tight end on the slate by a wide margin.
Putting It Together
A rough build around these plays might pair Purdy with McCaffrey and Kittle as a 49ers stack, then add Goff and Golden from the Packers and Lions game. Allen and Irving are the salary savers that make the expensive pieces fit. If you want to separate from the field, Robinson is the leverage play against all the 49ers ownership, and he works as a run back in a San Francisco stack. Check three statuses before lock: Nacua's calf, Jackson's ankle and Mayfield's thumb. Each one changes how much you want of the players around them. Good luck building your lineups this week.
