Sleepers at Quarterback
Carson Wentz, Minnesota (vs Philadelphia)
Wentz is the healthier of the two Vikings quarterbacks right now and should start in Week 7 against the Eagles. The Vikings' offense is rested coming off the bye with two injured offensive linemen returning to limited practices, which puts them in play to return for this game. The Eagles' top corner, Quinyon Mitchell, left with a hamstring injury last week. While he did return to a limited practice, he might have trouble tracking Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison if he's not at full strength. The Eagles' defense just gave up 35 points to the Giants, who were missing their top wide receiver and another top-three receiver. This could be a good game for Wentz against his old team.
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona (vs Green Bay) **Monitor Murray Status**
Kyler Murray missed last week with a foot injury. Some reports had him out for Week 7 with the Cardinals going on bye in Week 8, but Murray did return to a limited practice this week. The reality is that after a 300+ yard game vs. the Colts last week, despite Marvin Harrison Jr. leaving the game with a concussion, Brissett is better for the pass offense, and if Murray's mobility is limited by his foot injury, then for the offense overall. Joe Flacco had a decent game against the tough Packers defense in Lambeau, relying on his experience, and Brissett can do the same this week.
Bryce Young, Carolina (at NY Jets) **Monitor Coker Status**
Young made some plays when the pocket got tight or collapsed last week vs. Dallas that were reminiscent of the plays he made when he came on in the last third of last season. In Week 7, he's facing a Jets defense that summoned up a courageous performance against the Broncos last week, but had given up 11 passing touchdowns in five games going into Week 6, even though they hadn't faced more than 30 pass attempts in any game. Tetairoa McMillan will have a test against Sauce Gardner, but the Panthers are due to get Jalen Coker back this week, and he should be able to feast in the slot with the Jets likely geared up to stop Rico Dowdle and Chuba Hubbard.
Joe Flacco, Cincinnati (vs Pittsburgh) **Thursday**
Flacco was well-prepared to run the Bengals' pass offense in Week 6, even though he had just joined the team that week and was facing a tough Packers defense on the road. This week, he'll play his first home game for Cincinnati against a familiar opponent, the Steelers. Flacco threw two scores and beat the Steelers in relief of an injured Anthony Richardson Sr. last year, and he didn't have Ja'Marr Chase or Tee Higgins.
