The pickings are likely slim this time of year in your dynasty league's free agency pool. That doesn't mean you can't find players with upside that won't cost you anything beyond a roster spot. It's easy to overlook the George Holanis of the world, especially with rookie drafts right around the corner. The edge you can gain by identifying quality depth on the cheap is why you shouldn't overlook it.

I want to be clear. Some of these names might not scream quality fantasy contributor.

That's also the point. These are players likely available on your dynasty league's waiver wire. They haven't reached no-brainer roster status yet, but that doesn't mean they can't. The prerequisite is that there needs to be a decent enough chance these guys are actually available. If you're more interested in buying low and attempting to acquire players with a higher likelihood of turning your fantasy tides, I've still got you covered. You can find options for lower-priced players you can target here.

Now that that's out of the way, let's take a look at some deep dynasty sleepers who could be more than waiver-wire mainstays.

Will Levis, QB49

There aren't many players who have asserted themselves among the league's most interesting, while simultaneously accomplishing very little, in a shorter amount of time than Levis. There were the confounding turnovers, the wild facial expressions, and who could forget the mayo stuff? I'm aware I'm telling you to avoid writing off a guy who has admitted to putting mayo in his coffee. Do your best to see past that.

After missing all of 2025 with a shoulder injury, a season in which he would've been relegated to backup duty, Levis isn't even the favorite to play understudy to Cam Ward entering 2026. The arrival of Mitchell Trubisky should add fuel to the rumors that Tennessee has been looking to move the former second-round pick. Given where we are in the calendar, that seems less certain than it was in the build-up to free agency. His place as a third-string, developmental option behind Ward and Trubisky is dubious. It feels almost certain that Levis' next opportunity will come in a different uniform. The issue with Levis isn't the tools. He can make the throws. He hasn't been plagued by crippling inaccuracy. The hurdle was his ability to process what he saw and respond accordingly. That's not dissimilar to other young quarterbacks who are thrust into a starting role before they're ready. Those stories don't always develop into tales of late-blooming success. Trubisky, ironically, is a decent example that not everyone experiences the best-case scenario. Levis has one more year on a second-round contract before he should drum up some free agent interest. That's barring any trade before the 2026 season. Time is still on his side. There's a chance he's still rostered in your superflex leagues. It's not easy to cut ties with young quarterbacks. Check on him, though. If your quarterback room is lacking depth, and he's hanging around, he's a decent wait-and-see option should you have the space.

Treylon Burks, WR182

The Burks experience has taken fantasy managers down a winding road. Being selected with the first-round pick Tennessee acquired in exchange for A.J. Brown can't be easy. We can say Burks was never expected to fill that void, but that shadow was cast the moment the pick was announced. None of it was ever fair. Such is life in the NFL. Given the investment, Burks was likely a first-to-second round pick in most of your rookie drafts. He never came close to returning that investment.

There were modest signs of momentum for Burks last season with Washington. Returning to the field would've been enough after his injury luck in Tennessee. Burks did more to maximize the opportunity. He scored the second touchdown of his career in Week 13 against the Broncos. From Weeks 16-18, Burks was essentially a full-time player. He averaged 41 snaps per game. The production wasn't anything special. He averaged 3.6 targets per game over that three-game set. That equated to 1.6 receptions for 17.6 yards per game. The Commanders still saw enough to bring Burks back for 2026. With Deebo Samuel Sr. departing, Burks will contend with Dyami Brown, Luke McCaffrey, and Jaylin Lane for looks in two-receiver sets opposite Terry McLaurin. Depending on what Washington does in the draft, Burks could become the preferred option among that group. That would open the door for a run at a meaningful role in the first iteration of David Blough's offense. Burks fits the description of a free dart throw with upside.
