---|---|---|---|
1 | Patrick Mahomes II | vs Raiders | $7,000 |
2 | Drake Maye | at Titans | $6,300 |
3 | Caleb Williams | vs Saints | $5,800 |
4 | Dillon Gabriel | vs Dolphins | $4,400 |
Patrick Mahomes II leads all quarterbacks in DraftKings points per game (25.3) and ranks third in rushing yards (222) and second in rush touchdowns (4) at the position. He leads a Chiefs offense that ranks first in both Pass Rate Over Expected (PROE) and Early Down Pass Frequency (EDPF) and ranks third in EPA/Play. Mahomes gets his WR1, Rashee Rice, back into the lineup this week and is playing at home against a Raiders defense that ranks middle of the pack in Dropback EPA Allowed (14th). The Chiefs have the highest Implied Team Total (28.5) of the week on the main slate. Mahomes is the best quarterback play on the slate and is a good play in both cash and GPPs.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was fired from the Tennessee Titans just a few years ago, and this is the hyper-competitive coach's first chance to go after his former team. You can't tell me he's not trying to put up a minimum of 30 points and ideally is hitting a 40-burger. Drake Maye is a great quarterback to push this agenda. He ranks seventh at the quarterback position in DraftKings points per game (21.1), seventh in passing yards per game (253.7), and leads a Patriots offense that ranks seventh in PROE. Maye has a fantastic matchup against a bad Titans defense that ranks 22nd in EPA/Play Allowed and 20th in Dropback EPA Allowed. Maye is a good play in both cash and GPPs.
Caleb Williams gets to play at home against a struggling Saints defense that ranks 25th in EPA/Play Allowed and 30th in Dropback EPA Allowed. At $5,800, he's palatably priced. He leads a Bears offense that ranks sixth in EDPF. Chicago has the fourth-highest Implied Team Total (26) on the main slate. Williams is a strong play in both cash and GPPs.
Dillon Gabriel is the salary saver of the week, priced at just $4,400. He's playing at home against a bad Dolphins defense that ranks 31st in EPA/Play Allowed and 29th in Dropback EPA Allowed. Gabriel was a decent prospect. He has tons of experience, as he threw for over 3,000 passing yards in five different collegiate seasons and totaled 18,722 passing yards and 155 pass touchdowns over his collegiate career. Gabriel's film showed he has the ability to process defenses, go through his reads. read the full field, and make decisive decisions. Gabriel also has dual-threat rushing ability, which we might see with rough weather on the horizon, despite not showing that yet through two NFL starts.
Running Backs
Rank | Player | Opponent | Salary |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Quinshon Judkins | vs Dolphins | $6,000 |
2 | Jonathan Taylor | at Chargers | $8,800 |
3 | Jacory Croskey-Merritt | at Cowboys | $6,100 |
4 | Kimani Vidal | vs Colts | $5,500 |
5 | Breece Hall | vs Panthers | $6,300 |
With rough weather in the forecast, Quinshon Judkins projects for a massive workload at home against a terrible Dolphins defense that ranks 31st in EPA/Play Allowed and 30th in Rush EPA Allowed. Over the past two weeks, the Dolphins have allowed 206 rushing yards to Rico Dowdle and 124 rushing yards to Kimani Vidal. Judkins ranks 11th in opportunities per game (19.2) and 18th in total yards per game (89). The matchup is so juicy, Judkins is a strong play in both cash and GPPs.
Jonathan Taylor is dominant. He ranks third in opportunities per game (22.8), third in total yards per game (125), and first in touchdowns (8). He gets a Chargers defense struggling to defend the run. They rank 24th in Rush EPA Allowed and over the past two weeks have given up 111 rushing yards to Jacory Croskey-Merritt and 128 rushing yards to De'Von Achane. Playing in one of the best fantasy games of the week, Taylor is a strong play in both cash and GPPs.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt's share of Washington's running back opportunities over the past two weeks, since he's been given the starting role: 66.7% in Week 5 and 75% last week. Over that span, Bill has averaged 17 opportunities and 109 yards. He's in a phenomenal spot here as this Commanders at Cowboys game has by far the highest Over/Under (54.5) on the main slate. And he gets to attack a Cowboys defense that ranks dead last in EPA/Play Allowed and 27th in Rush EPA Allowed. You can't go wrong playing in cash or GPPs this week.
Kimani Vidal was a strong collegiate producer. He put up 1,272 total yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior and 1,862 total yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. He's a very good athlete at 213 pounds who put up elite testing numbers: ran a 4.46 40-yard dash, a 4.15 shuttle, and posted a 37.5" vertical. Vidal was given the keys last week, and he didn't disappoint, turning 22 opportunities into 138 total yards and 1 touchdown. Vidal is priced at just $5,550 and is playing at home in one of the best fantasy games of the week. He's in play in both cash and GPPs.
Breece Hall ranks 13th in opportunities per game (18.7) and 12th in total yards per game (93.3). The Panthers' defense has been stout against the run as they rank 10th in Rush EPA Allowed, but Hall is going to be a dual-threat. He's going to have to be heavily involved as a receiver with Garrett Wilson out this week. And the overall matchup is favorable as the Panthers' defense ranks 28th in EPA/Play.
