As we get deeper into the offseason, it's time for a rankings update. Voluntary minicamps are underway, and we are receiving more information as training camps approach. These players are listed in order of my rankings, which differ from those of the rest of our Footballguys staffers. Next to each player's name are the Footballguys rankings, followed by a "+/-" indicating how much disagreement there is between my personal ranking and our staff's consensus. For players with significant dissension, I've added thoughts.
Dynasty Quarterback Rankings
The Top 12
- Josh Allen, BUF, Age 30 (FBG Rank: 1)
- Caleb Williams, CHI, Age 24 (FBG Rank: 5) +3 — The arrow is pointing up for Williams, who proved that on-field magic from college can translate to the next level. He'll need to learn to play better in structure, but a top-6 finish in a new offense, elite pedigree, and rushing upside give him both a desirable floor and ceiling. Click here for more of my recent thoughts on Caleb Williams, and what he needs to do to ascend to superstardom.
- Jayden Daniels, WAS, Age 25 (FBG Rank: 3)
- Drake Maye, NE, Age 23 (FBG Rank: 2) -2 — We're really splitting hairs between Williams, Daniels, and Maye. This ranking may seem like a knock against Maye. It isn't. A preference for Williams' system and Daniels' elite rushing just tips the scales ever-so-slightly in their favor.
- Lamar Jackson, BAL, Age 29 (FBG Rank: 4) -1
- Joe Burrow, CIN, Age 29 (FBG Rank: 6)
- Justin Herbert, LAC, Age 28 (FBG Rank: 7)
- Patrick Mahomes II, KC, Age 30 (FBG Rank: 9) +1
- Trevor Lawrence, JAX, Age 26 (FBG Rank: 8) -1
- Brock Purdy, SF, Age 26 (FBG Rank: 13) +3 — Purdy was fantasy's QB5 last year. Early-career concerns about his shelf life and being a product of Kyle Shanahan's offense should have been put to rest by his $265 million extension — but dynasty markets haven't adjusted for whatever reason.
- Jalen Hurts, PHI, Age 27 (FBG Rank: 10) -1
- C.J. Stroud, HOU, Age 24 (FBG Rank: 19) +7 — Stroud won't ever recapture the value he had after his rookie season, but he's a young, highly-drafted QB on a team trending upward. The lack of rushing is the major knock, but he should have a lengthy NFL career as a starter.
