Understanding the NFL's Injury Report
(per Dr. Bramel - Footballguys OG)
"The injury report released by the NFL is [made up of] two reports. The first is the Practice Participation report, which lists which injured players practiced and their participation level. It also includes players who rested or missed practice for non-injury-related reasons. The second is the Game Status Report, which gives the probability a player will play, i.e., Questionable, Doubtful, Out. The Practice Participation Report is released every day of the week (Monday through Saturday). The Game Status Report is released with the Friday participation report (Wednesday for Thursday games, Saturday for Monday games). In this feature, I'll include the Game Status Listing and my expectations of their likelihood of playing."
If you are reading this article on Saturday, make sure to come back on Sunday morning as more updates trickle in within the next 24 hours.

* Key: Player, Team | Injury | Game Status Listing | Playing Expectation
Sunday 9:30 AM EST Game
RB Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh | Knee | Questionable | Projecting Active
Jaylen Warren managers will need to monitor his gameday status closely. Warren was added to the injury report on Friday with a knee issue. After being limited throughout the week, Pittsburgh finally stamped an official injury designation on him, leaving it unclear whether his knee had been bothering him all week or if this is a new injury.
For now, Warren is expected to be active. However, with the Steelers playing in Dublin at 9:30 AM EST, fantasy managers should exercise caution when deciding to leave him in their lineups. Be ready to pivot if Warren is a last-minute inactive.
Sunday 1:00 PM EST Games
WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina | Calf | Questionable | Projecting Active
After missing Wednesday's practice, Tetairoa McMillan logged back-to-back limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. For what it is worth, McMillian told Carolina reporters he expects to play Sunday.

Calf injuries can hinder wide receivers, and historical fantasy data shows a moderate dip in production. With the added challenge of a likely matchup against Patriots corner Christian Gonzalez, McMillan shapes up as a risky Week 4 start.
WR Chuba Hubbard, Carolina | Calf | Questionable | Expected Active
Chuba Hubbard was limited for most of the week with what the team listed as a calf injury, but the designation appears to be more about load management. On Friday, head coach Dave Canales noted that Hubbard was simply getting extra rest.

Hubbard is fully expected to be active in Week 4.
QB Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay | Biceps | Questionable | Expected Active
Baker Mayfield was limited in practice all week with a right biceps injury to his throwing arm. Despite the designation, he was never truly in danger of missing Week 4. Expect him to be active, and fantasy managers can confidently keep him locked into their QB slot.
