Fantasy Overview - Week 7

Jeff Haseley's Fantasy Overview - Week 7 Jeff Haseley Published 10/20/2020

This week I look at which quarterbacks are HOT over the last three weeks (FanDuel scoring). I researched their expected outcomes based on schedule strength and defensive efficiency rankings for the rest of the season including the playoffs. I'll let you know which quarterbacks will get you where you want to be and which ones may face a tougher road ahead.

The Top 20 quarterback rankings are taking form after six weeks of action. Do you see any surprises over the last three games? DeShaun Watson is #1 and Carson Wentz is surprisingly #4. Staying the course is Kyler Murray, Josh Allen, Tom Brady, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. If you're wondering why Russell Wilson is #17, keep in mind he had his bye last week. Ryan Tannehill is also raising eyebrows coming in #10 despite only playing two games. There aren't many notable declines comparing season to date stats and the last three weeks, but Aaron Rodgers' tough outing against Tampa Bay in Week 6 is clearly visible in his #25 ranking (not pictured).

What else stands out?

  1. Lamar Jackson is still a rushing threat, which isn't exactly news, but look at Kyler Murray with 185 yards rushing in this three-week span. Carson Wentz, Patrick Mahomes II, and Teddy Bridgewater are also accumulating rushing yards at a noticeable pace.
  2. Gardner Minshew has 83 completions on 133 pass attempts, both highs during this period.
  3. Everyone in the top 10 has at least 40 yards rushing with the exception of Tom Brady who has -3 yards rushing.
  4. Deshaun Watson and Justin Herbert lead the way with 9.47 and 9.39 yards per attempt respectively. Easily tops during this span.
