Week 11 Recap- Win, Season Record 3-8
Last week, was one of the most fun weeks I’ve ever had in DFS. Fully admit, this year has been an extremely frustrating season, where nothing has seemed to go right. However, last week was peak Cracking FanDuel. It was throwing the outside noise out the window, and just finding players who I felt were the best plays that given week. Two players that were locked onto were Travis Etienne Jr., Christian McCaffrey, and Tee Higgins who were not on anyone’s radar. All three players dominated helping the original cash lineup to victory.
Then, around 12PM EST, with the news of Keon Coleman being a healthy scratch, I pivoted the lineup to a different one which I posted in that article. Including Joshua Palmer and upgrading to Trey McBride and Rashee Rice away from Higgins and McConkey. This lineup also won, despite both Rice and Palmer struggling, as McBride was highly rostered and with Etienne and McCaffrey lower rostered made for a bit of a coasting week.
Look, I know a lot of people have already given up because of the train situation, or that it seems unwinnable, and that’s fair. But I’m going to continue to do what I said I was in Week 10, which is I’m just going to enjoy this season, and build the lineups that I want to build. Get back to basics, instead of having to worry about the pricing or what the trains are going to do each week. Following other articles, or what other people are doing is something that I’ve tried to avoid for most of my career. It would not have helped some weeks, as I faded CeeDee Lamb when he scored a 73 yard touchdown, or Saquon Barkley when he had a 65 yard touchdown on the first carry. But, over the long-run, I don’t believe that these trains are building vastly superior lineups to the one’s that are being built on this article. I also am not naïve enough to know that there is a drastic edge in the lineups that I’m building either, it is just how that small sample size in that given week performs.
There are seven weeks in the season left. The goal from here on out is 5-2 and salvage the season to 8-10.
Injuries Create Opportunity:
- Isiah Pacheco remains out, despite practicing throughout the week. This will once again make Kareem Hunt the primary back this week. Like most weeks, Hunt is a touchdown dependent option, as he’s excelled in short yardage situations this season. He’s scored a touchdown in each of his last three games, but just is not seeing enough volume to be cash viable this week.
