Ravens, Team Vibes

  • Bad - 0

Staffers with Good Vibes

  • Dave Kluge: Much has been made of the change from Greg Roman to Todd Monken, but deservedly so.
  • Christian Williams: Locking up Lamar Jackson and moving away from Greg Roman are clear paths to success.
  • Jason Wood: Getting Lamar Jackson signed long-term and bringing a renewed sense of offensive creativity in OC Todd Monken bodes well for a return to playoff contention.
  • Ben Cummins: New offensive coordinator, Todd Monken, expects to bring a more spread passing style offense to Lamar Jackson, which could unlock an upside we haven't yet seen.
  • Phil Alexander: We're going to see Lamar Jackson in a vertical passing offense, surrounded by the best receivers he has ever played with.
  • Jeff Bell: Lamar Jackson will have the best weapons of his career.
  • Chad Parsons: Baltimore continues to throw capital at wide receiver, but even a healthy Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews will produce a quality offense.
  • Jeff Haseley: Things are good on both sides of the ball in Baltimore, but if Lamar Jackson's knee gives him problems, this team could disappoint.
  • Jeff Tefertiller: Signing Lamar Jackson to an extension and exchanging Greg Roman for Todd Monken should have the Ravens offense producing more fantasy points.
  • Alfredo Brown: The offense should evolve to a spread pass-heavy approach under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
  • Daniel Harms: Todd Monken and Lamar Jackson will make sweet, sweet music together.
  • Sam Wagman: Lamar Jackson's passing game outlook with Todd Monken in town is as positive as it's ever been
  • Ryan Weisse: You have an elite quarterback and a new offense that should allow more passing.
  • Andy Hicks: While Lamar Jackson is on the field, the whole offense succeeds.

Players We Are Targeting

Reasons to be In on J.K. Dobbins

  • Christian Williams: OC Todd Monken is good at scheming up his best players in positions to succeed, and Dobbins is on that list.
  • Ben Cummins: Once J.K. Dobbins' contract issues clear up, he's locked in as a talented lead RB in one of the most fun fantasy offenses.
  • Jeff Bell: Understand injury concerns, but Dobbins is in a contract year, and the team needs him to step up.
  • Sam Wagman: J.K. Dobbins will be 2 years removed from his ACL injury this season and will hopefully regain full mobility
  • Andy Hicks: J.K. Dobbins has risk. He also has the upside to be a fantasy championship winner. Value is crucial.

Reasons to be In on Lamar Jackson

  • Dave Kluge: Injuries in back-to-back years have suppressed his value, but he's got as good of a shot as anyone to finish as this year's QB1.
  • Jason Wood: Monken gives Jackson his best shot at returning to the dynamic dual-threat weapon who won the MVP a few seasons ago.
  • Phil Alexander: Not exactly an arbitrage play on Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts, but he does get drafted nearly a round later and shares their overall QB1 ceiling.
  • Chad Parsons: Odell Beckham and Zay Flowers added for more viable weapons, and Jackson is set to throw more than his previous high-water mark for passes (401).

Reasons to be In on Zay Flowers

  • Jeff Haseley: My gut says that Flowers will see significant action this year, especially if Rashod Bateman doesn't return to form.
  • Alfredo Brown: He's got a relatively easy path to be the WR1 in this offense, given the injury history to Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham Jr

Reasons to be In on Mark Andrews

  • Jeff Tefertiller: The increase in passing volume should have a direct fantasy impact for Andrews.

Reasons to be In on Rashod Bateman

  • Daniel Harms: Going to be the number one receiver in Baltimore, and the injury risk is baked into his ADP.

Reasons to be In on No One

  • Ryan Weisse: While I like this offense, Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews are going higher than I'm willing to pay, and I don't trust anyone else.

Players We Are Avoiding

Reasons to be Out on Odell Beckham Jr

  • Dave Kluge: He received a lot of guaranteed money. But coming off an ACL and over a year removed from football, he could be the No. 4 pass-catcher.
  • Jeff Bell: If he is a major contributor, it is a great story; name value outweighs production and boosts ADP too high.
  • Alfredo Brown: Even at his average draft position of WR52, I'm not buying into a 30-year-old WR on a new team who is recovering from multiple injuries.
  • Daniel Harms: He's been talking about this possibly being his last year, and he's the 4th best pass catcher in Baltimore at this stage of his career.
  • Sam Wagman: Odell Beckham Jr has a possible positive outcome, but I think it's more likely that after multiple ACL injuries and a general downtick, he doesn't play a large role

Reasons to be Out on J.K. Dobbins

  • Chad Parsons: One of the weakest NFL offenses to optimize running back touches in recent years, Dobbins is still not healthy, and Dobbins is priced higher than many preferred running back plays.
  • Jeff Haseley: There is a chance that Dobbins' knee won't ever be the same. Add that to the fact that only one running back in the Lamar Jackson era has finished in the top 20. Ravens backs are not good for fantasy.
  • Jeff Tefertiller: Sure, he has been efficient in the past and has a golden opportunity, but we have seen zero evidence that Dobbins is healthy, much less stay that way for an entire season.

Reasons to be Out on Rashod Bateman

  • Phil Alexander: Unless Odell Beckham somehow recaptures his 2016 form, Bateman is the most talented wide receiver on the roster. But he's still not over last year's foot injury. Draft Zay Flowers instead.
  • Andy Hicks: Rashod Bateman promised a lot but has yet to deliver. Time moves fast in the NFL.

Reasons to be Out on Mark Andrews

  • Jason Wood: The consensus TE2 is facing a much better wide receiver corps and a different offensive system. The risks outweigh the rewards.
  • Ben Cummins: With Rashod Bateman, Zay Flowers, and Odell Beckham expected to be staples in 3WR sets, Mark Andrews will no longer dominate the target share in Baltimore as he has in years past.

Reasons to be Out on Zay Flowers

  • Christian Williams: While reports have been positive out of camp, this offense will likely spread the ball out plenty, lowering the ceiling for Flowers and others.

Reasons to be Out on Everyone

  • Ryan Weisse: Again, I think this will be a good offense, but their draft cost is too high at every position.
