Understanding the NFL's Injury Report
(per Dr. Bramel - Footballguys OG)
"The injury report released by the NFL is [made up of] two reports. The first is the Practice Participation report, which lists which injured players practiced and their participation level. It also includes players who rested or missed practice for non-injury-related reasons. The second is the Game Status Report, which gives the probability a player will play, i.e., Questionable, Doubtful, Out. The Practice Participation Report is released every day of the week (Monday through Saturday). The Game Status Report is released with the Friday participation report (Wednesday for Thursday games, Saturday for Monday games). In this feature, I'll include the Game Status Listing and my expectations of their likelihood of playing."
If you are reading this article on Saturday, make sure to come back on Sunday morning as more updates trickle in within the next 24 hours.

* Key: Player, Team | Injury | Game Status Listing | Playing Expectation
Sunday 1:00 PM EST Games
QB Lamar Jackson, Baltimore | Hamstring | Questioable | Projecting Inactive
After missing the past two games (three weeks including the bye) with a hamstring strain, Lamar Jackson still appears to be about a week away from returning. Although he was a full participant in Friday’s practice, Jackson spent the session running the scout team offense. We’ve seen this pattern before with other teams and it’s typically a sign that the quarterback is close to returning but not quite ready to play.
Sources: #Ravens QB Lamar Jackson ran the scout team on Friday, an indication that the two-time MVP is a week away from returning despite having a full practice.

While in my orginal projection I was hopeful that Jackson could return after Baltimore's Week 7 bye, it looks like Jackson managers will have to wait a little longer to have their start QB back.
Update: Lamar Jackson is inactive
QB Bryce Young, Carolina | Ankle | Doubtful | Likely Inactive
Bryce Young rolled his ankle late in the Panthers’ Week 7 win over the New York Jets. When the injury first occurred, there was concern it could be a high ankle sprain. While it appears Young may have avoided a serious injury, all signs point to him missing Week 8. Carolina has listed him as "doubtful", which is almost always a strong indicator that he will sit out this Sunday.
RB D'Andre Swift, Chicago | Groin | Questionable | Projecting Active
We saw this same situation with D’Andre Swift last week. He continues to practice late in the week, albeit in a limited capacity. There’s no real indication that Swift will miss Week 8, as Chicago appears to be managing their RB1’s workload.
It’s worth noting that throughout his career, Swift has never profiled as a true “bell cow” back, he tends to perform best when his snap share hovers around 60%. If anyone understands how to maximize that usage, it’s offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Keep Kyle Monangai on your radar.
Update: Swift is active.
