Pressed for time but still want to stay sharp with the news? We've got you.

Every August, we roll out one of the most valuable things we do at Footballguys: our Footballguys Preseason Updates. They're 32+ pages per week of hand-crafted intel from our staff covering every relevant player on every NFL team. It's a monster feature. And honestly, it's worth the price of a Footballguys Premium Subscription on its own.

But we get it. Life doesn't always leave room for 32-page deep dives.

That's why we created this: the distilled version. No fluff, no filler. Just the most crucial player takeaways, broken down team by team, so you get smarter in minutes. Not hours.

It's an unfair advantage for Footballguys subscribers. And we're ok with that.

Most of these come straight from our full reports and Footballguys staffers; others are my takes. But all of it is curated to give you an edge.

Plus, we've added direct links to each team's Depth Chart and the Full Camp Report. So if you want to dig deeper, it's just one click away.

If you find this helpful (or if there's something you'd love to see us add), drop me a note at bryant@footballguys.com and let me know.

Let's dive in.

Arizona Cardinals | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • TE Trey McBride continues to dominate and figures to be the main target in 2025.
  • RB Trey Benson earned the starter's absence for the game, indicating he has a solidified role in the offense.
  • WR Marvin Harrison Jr. has been working over the middle of the field, as opposed to being more outside in 2024.
  • CB Willie Johnson has shone throughout camp and will be a starter.
  • OLB Jordan Burch continuously impresses and looks to solidify his name in the pass rush rotation.

Atlanta Falcons | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • QB Michael Penix Jr. has come on strong and grasped leadership within the organization.
  • RBs Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier have been quiet, and coach Raheem Morris has Sean McVay's viewpoint on preserving key players.
  • WR Drake London tracked to a 40% target share in two intersquad scrimmages against the Titans.
  • WR Casey Washington has continued to flash and is expected to play in 2 WR sets if Darnell Mooney misses Week 1. Mooney is still labeled week-to-week.
  • TE Kyle Pitts Sr. has missed significant portions of 11-on-11 work as the team has been conservative after an early summer foot injury.

Baltimore Ravens | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • The Ravens are holding their skill position stars out of preseason action, so we are not going to see anything from QB Lamar Jackson, RB Derrick Henry, WR Zay Flowers, or TE Mark Andrews between now and Week 1.
  • RB Keaton Mitchell is sidelined with a hamstring injury but is expected to be back well in advance of Week 1.
  • RB Rasheen Ali has stepped up and now appears a lock to make the roster as the fourth back.
  • WR Rashod Bateman has been the top deep threat in camp and may make another step forward in 2025 after a breakout 2024 campaign that earned him a big contract extension in June.

Buffalo Bills | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • The Bills liked how their starters looked in Friday's joint practice against the Bears, which is why most sat out Sunday's game.
  • QB Josh Allen likely won't play in any preseason games, while Mitch Trubisky may have beaten out Mike White for the backup job.
  • RB James Cook ended his hold-in and signed a contract extension, keeping him in Buffalo long-term and removing one of the bigger storylines of camp.
  • At WR, Khalil Shakir's Week 1 status is uncertain as he recovers from a high ankle sprain, while Keon Coleman is a potential breakout candidate.
  • The defense has concerns in the secondary, particularly at safety and the No. 2 cornerback spot.

Carolina Panthers | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • The entire offense played poorly against Houston. The starters were pulled earlier than expected, in part to protect them from their sloppy play.
  • QB Bryce Young looked good in practice this week, but it did not translate to the game. It has been an up-and-down camp, and he will not play in the final preseason game.
  • The wide receiver room is deep, and the team may keep six or seven receivers. Tetairoa McMillan, Adam Thielen, and Xavier Legette remain the starters.
  • The tight ends, including starter Ja'Tavion Sanders,  continued their streak of quiet weeks and seem unlikely to make much fantasy impact this season.
  • The defense is battling back from injuries to stars and may take some time to find its footing once the regular season starts.

Chicago Bears | Depth Chart | Footballguys Full Camp Report

  • QB Caleb Williams is still dealing with highs and lows, but he's inspired some hope this week.
  • WR Olamide Zaccheaus is emerging as a full-time and trusted receiver out of the slot.
  • Expect both TEs Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet to generate desirable mismatches against defenders.
  • All of the top three running backs are banged up, but Kyle Monangai widened the gap from Roschon Johnson with another good week.
  • Rookie WR Luther Burden III hasn't cracked the starting rotation yet and could have a tough time doing so considering the talent ahead of him.
