Sleepers at Quarterback
C.J. Stroud, Houston (vs Dallas) **Monitor Collins Status**
The Texans will probably put more on Stroud's shoulders with the running game stuck in a ditch on the side of the road. The Cowboys have already allowed seven passing touchdowns in three games, and they have only faced 82 pass attempts. Stroud has been playing well enough to be worth a streaming QB1 play even if Collins isn't out there.
Daniel Jones, Indianapolis (vs Washington - London)
Going up against the Colts after opening with the Ravens, Chiefs, and Texans will feel like a walk in Hyde Park in this Sunday morning U.S. start time (afternoon across the pond) game. Jones lost Alec Pierce, but he was effective throwing to Josh Downs, Keenan Allen, and Tyler Warren against the vaunted Texans. The Commanders have allowed 11 touchdown passes this season, which includes games against Sam Darnold and Jalen Hurts.
Drake Maye, New England (at Buffalo)
Make no mistake, the lights are flashing red on the Drake Maye dashboard, but he played some of his best football in two very competitive games against the Bills last year, including a win on the road. The Bills pass defense has gotten soft in the second half when they have built a lead, so a play of Maye is actually riding the coattails of Josh Allen if you fear the Patriots will get blown out for the second week in a row.
Case Keenum/Tyson Bagent, Chicago (vs NY Jets) **Monitor QB Decision**
Hopefully we will know sometime before the game who will start, but don't put it past Ben Johnson to keep the identity of the quarterback who will lead the Bears a secret until kickoff. Whoever it is will pilot a very good Bears offense against a Jets defense that has significantly less talent than the Eagles defense Keenum humbled on Monday night. The Bears starter is worth a look as a streamer if you have to get your starter from the waiver wire; we just don't know who it is as of Thursday.
Sleepers at Tight End
Darren Waller, Carolina (vs Detroit)
How bad has Detroit's defense been against tight ends? Not only have they given up two touchdowns to tight ends in each of the first three games, but they have also actually allowed a touchdown to two different tight ends in each game! Jeremy Ruckert posted a 5-39-1 line against them even though Kenyon Sadiq scored and went over 100 yards in a breakout game. If Jalen Coker is out (he did return to practice on Thursday) with a quad injury that ended his Week 3 early, Waller is an even better play, but he is definitely in the upside TE1 group either way because of the high-scoring nature of this matchup.
Tyler Higbee, LA Rams (at Philadelphia)
Higbee hoovered up short targets from Matthew Stafford in the loss to the Broncos after Terrance Ferguson left with an ankle injury. Puka Nacua is expected back this week, but Higbee could still be targeted enough to justify plugging him right into the lineup from the waiver wire with Ferguson likely out for at least Week 4.
Brenton Strange, Jacksonville (at Cincinnati)
Strange hasn't posted a big game yet this season, but the Jaguars have had the offense on mothballs in blowout wins two times in three games. If Joe Burrow plays well against the underrated Jaguars defense, Trevor Lawrence could have to pass for all four quarters for only the second time in four games. The Bengals allowed Dalton Schultz to post a 12-140 line in Week 2, and Steelers tight ends combined for 6-99 with Aaron Rodgers narrowly missing Pat Freiermuth when he broke free for what could have been a long score. That's a vulnerability Liam Coen should be able to exploit with Strange.
Michael Mayer, Las Vegas (vs Kansas City)
Steve Spagnuolo will probably try to take Brock Bowers away after Klint Kubiak used him all over the formation a la Jaxon Smith-Njigba in his 2026 debut last week. Mayer is basically a starter in this offense, and he scored last week even though Bowers put on a show. Expect Mayer to flourish if the Chiefs commit to slowing Bowers, even if it means letting Mayer draw a winnable matchup against a defense that has allowed touchdowns to Tyler Warren and Evan Engram and a 5-55 game to Greg Dulcich so far this season.
